I am calling on all parents, community leaders, and business leaders to stand together and create more safe opportunities for our young people. And if they step outside the bounds of our expectations with regards to dangerous or reckless behavior, that we also hold them accountable.

Shout out to the parents, students, and community members who showed up in Hyde Park last week to preempt a teen trend. Please continue to check in with our young people to make sure they're not attending these trends as the weather gets warmer. Let's have a safe week Chicago.

We're talking about families who are trying to support their loved ones with the less than $35,000 a year. Just let that sink in for a second. That's why we've abolished the minimum wage in Chicago and will continue to phase it out.
