Nick's goals from the first games were amazing.
Then the defenders started wrapping two arms around him, with no foul.
Then he was placed in Bruno's place in midfield.
The German National coach said "we play Woltemade 30 yards from the goal, not 70".
Not an answer, but this is my observation.

What is it with the shirt pulling? Absolutely no need for it. Anyone drilling our players to do this needs fired. The coaching staff failing to stop our players doing this need fired.
From your other recent posts, I see you've been based around Durham, and are going to be seeing Beamish and off to Whitby. You're in good hands. Enjoy bringing a bit of subtle Red to the Black and White areas 😄
Welcome to Newcastle!
I recommend a walk down to the riverside (the walk back up is not so nice).
And if you have time, hop onto the metro, along to Tynemouth - through the town to the coast. The wind has died down, so will be refreshing rather than painful today. Enjoy!
This may be the only way a club can rebuild a stadium without it impacting club finances.
A 1bn stadium build/rebuild can't be covered by shirt sales and match day pints. So the ground has to be off the books, so the ownership can invest without it affecting psr, right?
I've a stats and economics degree, and you're right: I can't explain how any of this works, nor how a club like yours, with asset-stripping owners, leaving you over a billion in debt is still within the £60m a year loss limit. Makes no sense.
Let's see if we sell nufc women to ourselves next.
Selling Andy Cole to sign Shearer?
"No smoke without fire"?
That's a strange statement.
The press and social media feeds simply make stuff up as a way to generate headlines, quotes, reactions, shares and clicks - and this generates advert revenue.
The overwhelming majority of stuff online is literally smoke without fire
One for sorrow #nufc
A good start to today: bus was a double decker (sometimes they put on a single decker). Was packed, but driver still stopped to let everyone squeeze in (they normally drive past).
A positive start! #nufc
Ah well 🙂

That's better!

He was MOTM.
And we all saw it wasn't just graft, but genuine quality in both defence and counterattack
All the negatives reported are what we heard about Gordon before he joined.
With the press you never know what's true Vs what's clickbait.
For me, also Leverkusen. I like their background (Factory football team: Workself means Works Elf/Eleven), their fans and the fact they were ahead against Arsenal!
Had a very rare away trip there, and they were so welcoming to the away supporters. They're my second team in the Champions League.
After all, what tactic do you play in defence when Osula doesn't even know what's coming next?
I'm looking at the positives: chaos and pace to start with.
Wissa, Nick, Gordon able to come on later.
Football should only be watched in (Brazilian) Portuguese.

Not in the squad for tonight, no
It's going to be a "play the kids" game to hold for a 0-0, getting through the tie with zero impact to the team.
For £80+ a ticket there's going to be some people who are in the ticket scheme hoping to see Barca instead of this "pre season friendly".
May seem like nothing now, but they were signalling to each other "one more", giving themselves at least a (slim) chance in the second game.
Unnecessary pressure when it should have been shut down.
And no, I'm not complaining about the result; just the last 5-10% professionalism or killer instinct
The goal we conceded was really frustrating.
Their keeper pulls off 10+ amazing stops (and double-saves). And we can't keep out the first shot on target, straight at the keeper.
I don't know what happened there.
Sign that keeper #nufc
Not in the club shop or Adidas shop yet!
FIFA Legends in the final
Wayne Rooney described the Lucas Digne penalty decision as 'one of the worst he's seen in football'.
You trust him?
Hate him for making those comments?
