theres a few audio stings that are really jaw dropping too, including a sequence where the sound of cicadas is drawn out like horror movie whine only to let the speed of the cicada song suddenly return to a normal cadence when the suspense lifts.

watched The Secret Agent. doesnt quite stick the landing for me but some of the scenes in the middle of the film are some of the coolest ive seen. there's a particular scene of a yellow car driving at night that will visually stick in my head forever. uses repeat imagery really well too. good movie.
