This man is the love child of Jason Stathem, Vin Diesel and Vinny Jones, and Iβll hear no arguments on it.
Great work as always @maxhamm.bsky.social

Had to add a personal favourites from an old video on Beastheart and potential Companions.
Can I get an amen from all my Mot lovers out there?
What game is this. Looks delightfully silly.
The D&D Our Home Poster, framed. It hangs on a wall above a light switch just inside a room past the door frame. A bit of the room beyond is showing a cluttered study.
They loved it, and Iβve since got it framed for the door to my study.
We as a group have been playing D&D together for 6 years. Once this campaign closes, weβre off to new systems (Draw Steep, Lancer, SWRPG) but itβs been so fun to finish our time with D&D with something special.

So I jumped onto Procreate and got to work. Some months later, I got to show the players my work. All of their characters are represented, along with key scenes, friends and villains met, all with a backdrop of the setting for the game, The Vales and the Antonine Province.

Post for The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
Poster for the 90s film, Hook
Poster for the first ever Star Wars film in the 1970s.
The Muses struck me with the idea after a side adventure in the campaign. Surely in all the possible universes, there is a film of our campaign, and from there a move poster, in the style of big epic adventure films like these ones.

Movie poster for a D&D campaign. It is called βD&D Our Home - Book 3: Giants Sunder, Fire & Thunder. Done in the style of classic action adventure posters, all the player characters are shown with key NPCs, scenes and parts of the setting.
Now that my players have seen it, I wanted to share my latest art project.
Our 4 year campaign, covering 3 in game heroic generations, is coming to its dramatic conclusion.
To celebrate I designed and painted this.

Damn my dude. These are great. Perfect for some under the sea adventuring.
A great watch and initiative by @jondenor.com and @abol-tabol.bsky.social.
Their thoughts chimed with mine for a lot of The Great Thaw of Gryzmithrak Spire. Its a strong adventure, and was the first one ever published for Draw Steel.
Also a great watch for me to get better at adventure design.
Mike Wazowski would be telling his mum about this photo.

Thank you for the update Jon. π
This came from the recent @mattcolville.bsky.social video about GM style.
youtu.be/tr22j6TqGDo?...
There are loads of guides, diagrams, and the like about player types, but nothing so far seen about GMs/Directors/Leads etc.
A really interesting conversation that has gripped the MCDM community.
Fresh from the @hellomcdm.bsky.social Discord: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... A What is your GM style questionnaire!
Made by the Draw Steel / MCDM community, lead by Viridian Grail on the server, with questions given by others including myself.

Not at all Mr Kingsley. It was a great read. Will probably be in my Top Books of the Year.
Looking forward to seeing what happens in Blackthorne in the next book k.
The Lord of Blackthorne by @jasonkingsleyobe.bsky.social - βββββοΈ
A wonderful piece of medieval fiction. Youβll find a classic piece of heroic fiction therein, one that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Screenshot from the game Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. A headshot of Henry of Skalig in a battered kettle helmet, red coat, and red hood, with a bow on his back.
Henry of Skalig stands on a dirt path next to a hut. A poleaxe rests on his shoulder, with a sword at his hip and bow on his back, the sun setting before him. He wears a ragged coat and hood, with good armour besides. The strap of his kettle helmet hangs loose.
A screenshot from the inventory of Henry in KCD2. Showing off the equipment he has for this outfit.
Well isnβt #KCD2 just swell. Canβt remember when Iβve had such fun exploring an in game world since this one.
Oh and the outfits!
I love my ragged fighty Henry. Just look at his battered helm with the hanging strap.

The Thirteen Gun Salute, by Patrick O'Brian - βββ
Not the greatest in the series, with a few scenes that fell flat for me, it was still a fine read. I'm always up for more Aubrey & Maturin.

Its everything #BBC' s King & Conqueror wasn't, in that fact its just actually good.
The House of Wolf, by Sir Tony Robinson - ββββ
A well researched narrative, that enjoys that it is fiction. The humour he weaves speak to the work of his old friend #GNUTerryPratchett

Great article. Very fun. He talks about a piece Monty Don (an idol of mine) wrote for the Guardian on effective garden wear.
It is equally a delightful read.

Thatβs my thoughts. AI is just a new generations more diabolical clip art.
Art is made by Humans for Humans. AI generated images make a picture, but it cannot make the endeavour of creation that is so unique and wonderful to art.

@hankgreen.bsky.social has released a somewhat related video on this recently. Iβd recommend you checking it out.

My art may never be the greatest. Maybe an AI can generate something like it far more easily, and quickly.
But it is nowhere near as good as anything made by a human, for the endeavour time and joy in the making.
8/10
Making art is a human endeavour for other humans. It is made for many reasons of course, but art, I believe at its core, is about making and sharing something with other humans, as a human endeavour.
And what a wonderful human endeavour it is.
7/10
AI can make an image of something but thatβs not art. The lack of effort, the ease of the process, the slop of such activity does not make it so.
AI can make an image for a poster, but it cannot make art.
