it's hard to give a proper time of when i officially got hooked on MTG
cuz I did buy a commander precon way back in October but I only *first* played at a table in February at MCFC
Arena never really clicked for me I'll be honest, I might just not like Standard idk

Adding my 2c here from personal experience.
There’s just something special about dressing up as an avatar or your sona. It’s not a mask that you wear, you’re not hiding, it’s something that allows a degree of freedom of expression you might have never felt before.
