Hi Virginie I'm safe and sound. Tehran was indeed hit very hard but my city was also bombed quite often, as was the norm for most big cities. We're all safe tho. I really miss you 🫂 thank you for keeping me in your thoughts♥️

I sincerely hope that what transpired in Iran would end and perpetrators would be brought to justice, and I also hope that no single person in no other country nowhere on this world would have to ever endure what we endured in these darkest years of Iran's modern history.

Love y'all, and take care.

Please know that we just wanted a normal life and freedom, which we were always denied. Please know that people of Iran tried peaceful protest and civil activism for decades, but civil activism won't do a thing against an authoritarian-theocratic-militaristic state.

Moots, seems that Ayatollah and USA are hell-bent on war atp. I might be away for a while (let's hope it would be brief). Please always know that state of Iran was responsible for this war, and also responsible for killing of tens of thousands of Iranians and Syrians up to this point.

-Syria.State of Iran always justified foreign military interference by saying"we're just fighting ISIS"but it was not just ISIS but also Syrian people. Most people in Iran never approved of such wars.So muchoney was spent to keep a dictator in power who had no political legitimacy among his people.

What's horrible is that they're doing the exact same thing to us they already did to people of Syria. Assad had opposition in his country in Arab spring, since 2011 he was using the help of Iran in suppressing those people by force. It destabilized his country enough that ISIS managed to get into⬇️

Thank you Virginie. Nothing has literally left but hope, since when they're hell-bent on murdering people, even protest has its limits. But I do hope that a state that destabilizes itself internally and externally would not live much long. Fingers crossed.

It's okay friend you have nothing to be sorry about. I sincerely hope both Iran and Ukraine would be free soon.

-monstrous this has been. I just wish someday all officials in Iran, and all perpetrators of this massacre would face justice. And I wish someday they would beg for a mercy that they never showed their victims.

-people went to look the dead in the face. I think I can never be truly happy again. This is probably the worst (or among the worst) massacre in modern history happening during peace time and in a matter of 2-3 days. I think words lose their meanings in conveying how shocking, ugly, unfair and⬇️

-will haunt me through the rest of my days. There were so many many dead, all in dark covers. Most of them were killed with shots to the head. Many still had medical equipment attached to them. They brought dead bodies with ambulances and trailers (yes, trailers) and wailing, or otherwise shocked⬇️

-at this point and won't look any further since it's too painful to see and hold the truth that a government can kill thousands of its people with impunity. It is quite a weird feeling that our pain does not break the world. The pictures of wailing people looking for their loved ones among the dead⬇️

I finally was in a good enough mental space to actually look into the news and videos of the massacre of jan 2026 in Iran. It took me three weeks to pull myself together enough, but I wanted to be a witness as best as I could. I of course could not watch every video, and I probably would stop⬇️

I want to thank every one of my friends here who were worried about me and people of Iran in these horrible days. We have a saying in Iran which goes "one knows their true friends during hardships". Sending you all my love and respect ♥️♥️♥️

I have very bad internet so sadly I cannot look into it, but the telegram channel has to work fine. You should check videos from Jan 5th onward. The most brutal killings happened on Jan 8th and 9th (and maybe 10th).

Moots, this is a news channel which people of Iran usually send their videos and news to (because in Iran official and international reporters cannot report on uprisings so people have to do it themselves) you can check it out:
x.com/Vahid?s=20
Please beware the videos depict extreme violence.
