If it was so essential to the president’s safety, maybe he shouldn’t have torn it down.

I respectfully disagree. One of my board certifications is in Preventive Medicine & Public Health. I would say I certainly have a professional and ethical responsibility to provide preventive care. Maybe not a legal one, but an ethical one for sure.
There are three tiers of infection prevention. Vaccines are in the tertiary, or last, of those tiers. There’s plenty we can do to prevent infection outside of vaccines. We proved that in the early days of COVID.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience. It helps illustrate my point. The best thing for the patient/child is to take the time and do the education. We’re not fighting with the parent. We’re fighting for the child. Those are two different things.
Isn’t the answer then to do better infection control as opposed to denying care? Good infection control is completely workable.
Good points on the reimbursement and legal impacts. If true, leaving kids untreated would be an unfortunate second order effect.
I get the exposure risk argument but we’re pretty adept at infection control in the clinic, especially after COVID.
As for treating the child, if I ask, “Why would I ever choose not to treat a child that needs care?” I can’t come up with an answer.
May be more challenging but medicine always is.
For all those matcha fans out there, be aware that regular consumption with meals can lead to iron deficiency anemia.
Green teas can block iron absorption. So, be sure to enjoy your matcha frappe latte boba between and not with your meals.
I have a question for the healthcare folks out there (and anyone else that wants to chime in).
What’s the logic behind refusing to take unvaccinated children on as patients?
If the parent is an anti-vaxer, that’s not the child’s fault. Why punish the patient for the parent’s choices?
They better get on that soon.
My medical opinion, it’s not long before before trump gets hauled in front of a much higher court…
My wife is graduating soon so I’m helping her job hunt. This kind of stuff drives me crazy.
I know the job market is tough but you might as well write, “Willing to work for free.”
No way this is a good employer.
As Vance heads to negotiate his boss out of the mess he started, I thought it might be nice to offer a little historical perspective….
Arrested probably.
Trying to read the tea leaves on these Melania remarks.
Does she know something is coming down the pipe and wants to avoid it?
So odd to throw Epstein right back into the headlines.
Any theories out there?

After 9/11 happened, I thought, “This is going to be hard to explain to future generations.”
But the garbage we’re living through now, will be impossible to decode. Just so many levels of inconceivable stupidity.
Goat yoga too. Goat yoga will also be hard to explain.
So, 4D chess isn’t a thing. There is no four dimensional chess. It’s make believe.
Just like trump’s ability to make deals.

Yeah, they’re still bombing each other and the straight is still closed. So…
As our president throws a hissy fit, I thought this one might be a fun read for the day…
The president is talking about genocide like he’s promoting the season finale of his stupid reality show.
Honestly, the bravest thing about the #ArtemisII crew is trying to pull this off during the most dysfunctional presidency in our nation’s history.
I’m stressed just trying to take a road trip to Topeka.
The Secretary of Health is a psychopath with a history of drug abuse and brain worms.
But god forbid I don’t spend $187 to get 8 continuing education credits in Patient Safety every year for the last 15 years to prove I won’t amputate the wrong limb when I don’t even perform amputations.
🙄
“And lo, doth a bunny hoppeth through the land distributing thine holy eggs to the Moabites and the people rejoiced. So sayeth the Lord.”
After years of maligning Iran as a terrorist state, is anyone feeling, I don’t know, embarrassed that they are coming out as the more levelheaded in this conflict?
“Open the Fuckn’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!”
Oh and Happy Easter on this holy day. 🙄

“…they wanted to avoid the bad optics — the stuff that comes with high-level staff churn,” said a Trump ally, “That is ending. He no longer seems to care about the perception issue.”

Strange. Somehow Iran shot down a $65 million jet with their completely obliterated and nonexistent military.
I couldn’t agree more. I’m convinced the man is legitimately a psychopath who enjoys causing death and destruction.
We have a serial killer in charge of our public health and I’m not being hyperbolic.
