*just*? But yea.
But I think the bigger difference is everyone likes the Hero’s Party. While everyone else hates witchers.

I dunno if you had a chance but reading the manga in between the show and the movies is an interesting experience. Each one (re)builds.
The cast of the Elden Ring movie has been revealed, as it's claimed the A24 film has a budget ‘well over’ $100m.

Comic. I’m at my desk, leaning over to the doorway, saying “Hey! Foghorn! Foghorn Leghorn! Get in here!” Foghorn Leghorn is walking past the doorway, “Boy, I tell ya, I tell ya, not so loud, boy. What, I say, I say, what d’ya want?” Next panel, I’m gesturing to my computer. “How do I find that really good manga you recommended? It’s an anime now? I keep getting Halloween costumes.” Foghorn leans over my chair, “well, boy, I say, I say, you ain’t typin the entire title.” Last panel, I turn around- “you said ‘witch hat.’ Foghorn gets in my face- “open your ears, boy!! ‘Witch Hat Atelier, I tell ya! I tell ya ‘Atelier,’ I tell ya’”
How I’ve Been Pronouncing It (Feat. Foghorn Leghorn, my… roommate?)
I’ve had the same editor since 1967. Many times he has said to me over the years or asked me, Why would you use a semicolon instead of a colon? And many times over the years I have said to him things like: I will never speak to you again. Forever. Goodbye. That is it. Thank you very much. And I leave. Then I read the piece and I think of his suggestions. I send him a telegram that says, OK, so you’re right. So what? Don’t ever mention this to me again. If you do, I will never speak to you again

I paid that bill.
“No, this is the bill. It’s unpaid. You must pay it.”
Here is proof you already have money from me.
“That must be something else.”
“Copilot has somehow returned.” After I’ve uninstalled it yet again.
I’ve always wanted to hold a small pinball tournament where the only rule was that you’re not allowed to move Meatloaf.
Running around having to opt out of services I used to use because of this nonsense is one of many reasons I'm exhausted and angry with the tech companies.
If I sort by digital tag in iTunes, most great modern comedies are tv, like Lower Decks, Harley Quinn, or Good Place. But the movies still include things like Evil Dead 2 and Snatch, which I’d say have a similar vibe and pacing to some of my above suggestions.
May not count but K-pop Demon Hunters? It’s not only a comedy, but it is mostly one.
Lupin III the First, similar boat.
I think both are more comedy than similar “kids movies that are adventures but with jokes” like spiderverse, TMNT mutant mayhem, or Transformers One.
Pure “comedy” is harder
Just a little reminder that security experts routinely say that biometrics are actually do very poorly as a security measure.
Not just for technical reasons, either.
Imagine a password that you can't change after being informed it was compromised in a hack on a company that forgot to encrypt shit.

Oooooooo nice!

Yes. I’ve had a dock go weird, and wasn’t charging anymore. By the time I noticed the battery had hit 0% and it took me awhile to figure out it wasn’t broken. The dock needed a power cycle/reboot.
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

A category for “2D” being the paper Marios is *right there*, Dan. Even better if you add Super Mario RPG to the 3D section right above it.
But this doesn’t even deny that!
I haven’t been following this closely but this is what they changed it *to*?
Just how bad was it *before*? Why not change it more? This raises so many questions!
Except Apple killed Rosetta1 pretty quickly, and has announced plans to kill Rosetta2 in two years. They only keep around the backcompat layer long enough for a transition; not legacy support, unfortunately.
This thread speaks the truth!
