✔️ P9 introduced protocol-level tokens.
P10 removes the final friction point with sponsored transactions, unlocking smoother payment flows and wider adoption.

⚙️ So what actually changed?
With Protocol 10, transaction fees are no longer tied to the sender.
A sponsor can now sign a separate cryptographic commitment covering the fee for a specific transaction.
This removes friction for apps, merchants, and users.
🎉 Protocol 10 is now live on Mainnet.
As of block #43,582,381 (10:04 GMT, March 10), this upgrade introduces sponsored transaction fees, allowing the sender and the fee payer to be different parties.
With this release, Concordium’s PayFi stack is now complete.
