I understand where you are coming from. I'm not telling you that I think you are wrong for feeling the way you do. I just don't want to prevent anyone else from making that choice for themselves.
Plan B does not cause an abortion. It delays ovulation and the cervix thickens to help prevent sperm from making it to an egg. It is used very quickly (generally within a day or so) of the unprotected intercourse. It does not terminate a growing fetus. It stops one from ever starting.
The post was about stockpiling emergency contraceptives.... not BCP or condoms or spermicides. I don't know anybody who uses a product like plan B unless it is an emergency. (You may have different experiences than that.) That's why my comment was specific to an emergency situation.
And i agree, there are better alternatives. Vasectomy being #1 on that list.
