In March, the technicians at the theatre unanimously voted to join IATSE Local 118, securing a collective voice at work and committing to a future at the venue. Weeks later, the workers learned that the theatre is slated to cease operations on June 30.
The Michael J Fox Theatre has been a beloved Burnaby institution since 1993. Over the years it has hosted thousands of arts, theatre, dance, and cultural events.

Last weekend’s 1st AC Refresher Course in Victoria was a great success! We were pleased to welcome a strong mix of current members, prospective members, and individuals interested in pursuing a career in the film industry.
Last weekend, the AI Learning and Engagement Symposium brought together members and industry professionals for an informative learning experience. Featuring 25 speakers from across the globe who shared expertise across 18 engaging sessions.
