I heard some rumors about it being translated like a decade ago. Glad it's finally out! I guess it's time to re-read it again :D I'm still a bit more partial to his earlier work - Other Songs (not translated yet) but Ice is a massive work!
Amazing talk with Jim O'Rourke at Unsound last year. Jim is one of my all time heroes, amazing memory, wit and excitement for "good" MUSIC. Highly reccomended.

Tangent y related: It's been like that in the arcades for years. Most of the modern cabinets are running on strip down PCs with Windows os with a layer of copy protection over it. That's why it's relatively easy to emulate them.
