Honored to welcome the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians as they bring their annual convention back to my district. Grateful for the opportunity to reflect on parliamentary procedure from my first legislative session and for your commitment to fair and effective governance.

Vote YES for democracy!
Today is the last day of early voting so Governor Spanberger and I were out encouraging everyone to vote YES for democracy! Election day is Tuesday, April 21!
So impressed by the students and teachers at last night’s Henrico Education Foundation Excellence in Education Celebration, which showcased groundbreaking work happening across Henrico County Public Schools...reminding us that giving w/no expectations helps open doors and strengthen our community.
Gov Spanberger signed into law my final 3 bills that support student mental health, increase healthcare transparency, & ensure fair accountability for certain prof occupations. In my 1st leg session, I'm proud of getting 5 bills signed. Grateful to all who helped make this happen
Thrilled to welcome Leader Hakeem Jeffries back to Virginia, and this time to eastern Henrico, as we GOTV for redistricting. The rest of the country is counting on Virginia to level the playing field and stop Trump's power grab. Vote YES on or before April 21. Go to iwillvote.com for more info.
As Ramadan begins, I wish those who celebrate a peaceful and blessed month. May this time bring reflection, gratitude, and togetherness to you and your loved ones. Ramadan Mubarak!
Thank you @maynivar.com for the lucky charm for the Year of the Fire Horse! Happy Lunar New Year to everybody celebrating.
Wishing everyone a joyful Lunar New Year! May the Year of the Horse bring strength, renewal, and goodwill to all!
Not a loss. Depts have long managed military leave. Most Guard & Reserve training runs ~39 days/yr. My bill expands the limit from 21 to 48 days, so impacted officers don’t have to use PTO if & when req'd service exceeds 21 days. The burden shouldn’t fall on the officer to fulfill both duties.
Happy Valentine's Day Roses are red, Violets are blue, Virginia grows stronger When we help someone through.
HB1114 passed the House unanimously & heads to the Senate. Why do this bill? Many law enforcement officers also serve in the Guard or Reserves, but VA offers only 168 hours of paid military leave. My bill guarantees PTO for all req'd duty, reducing strain & matching support given to firefighters.
Highlights from last week: Met advocates & constituents, joined LG Ghazala Hashmi & legislators for breakfast, & presented my first bill—hazed into reading it like an auctioneer! My team & I are pushing 8 bills to cut red tape, strengthen schools, protect health, & improve life for all Virginians.
This week, three of my bills passed unanimously out of committee, each focused on helping skilled professionals and supporting affordability in Virginia.
These bills help skilled workers get to work and stay working in Virginia, without lowering standards or compromising public safety.
Black History Month is a time to honor the generations of Black leaders, organizers, artists, educators, and everyday people whose courage and creativity have shaped our nation.
From local trailblazers to national voices who moved our country closer to justice, Black history is American history.

Two weeks into session and I’m grateful for a strong start. I’ve enjoyed meeting with community members and constituents from across the district.
I’m proud to advance legislation focused on education, healthcare, workforce opportunity, small businesses, and those who serve our communities.
A major winter storm is expected this weekend, with the greatest impacts Sunday afternoon into Monday.
Crews are ready and will work around the clock, but restoration may take time if ice causes widespread damage.

The time is always right to do what’s right.’ Dr. King’s words hit home for me. They’re a reminder that we don’t have to wait for the perfect moment—every day gives us a chance to choose kindness, fairness, and courage.
Today, I’m asking myself: what’s one thing I can do to make a difference?
Today was a reminder of what brings us together as Virginians.
Congratulations to Governor Abigail Spanberger, Virginia’s first female Governor. The future is bright, now it’s time to turn vision into action and build a stronger Virginia for all.
I was officially sworn in and got straight to work on day one. This week, I passed all four of the constitutional amendments, filed over 10 bills tackling issues facing our district and Virginia, and spent time meeting with constituents to hear directly about the issues that matter most.
In moments of celebration, the principles of Kwanzaa remind us of the values that unite us—hope, community, and care for one another. Wishing joy and meaning to all who celebrate!
The greatest gifts aren’t wrapped, they’re found in kindness, laughter, and the bonds that bring us closer. Wishing a Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
Hanukkah reminds us that even in darkness, light endures. Wishing peace and joy to everyone observing.
Virginia is lucky to have @markwarner.bsky.social in the U.S. Senate — a trusted leader who unites people, tackles tough challenges, and always puts our Commonwealth first. Let’s re-elect him to keep delivering for Virginia families.
Pass the pie, share the love, and let’s keep building a Virginia where everyone can thrive—celebrating laughter, gratitude, and the future we shape together.
Yesterday's Henrico Community Food Drive collected 2,000 lbs of food and raised $3,000 to benefit Feed More. Thank you Henrico volunteers and donors for spreading help and hope for those in need.
Food banks need support all year because hunger doesn't take a holiday.
Join us tomorrow, Nov. 15, for the Community Food Drive and lend just one hour to support families right here in our communities. Even a small amount of time makes a big difference.

Today, we honor the brave men and women who have served our nation in uniform.
Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms represent the best of who we are. To every veteran and military family in Virginia and across the country, thank you for your service.
