I'm amused by this internet cottage industry which has sprung up about what #StarTrek's future will be, whether or not it has one, who'll be in charge of it... and not a single person outside Paramount's executive offices has any fucking idea. But they do do love to get those sweet, sweet clicks.

I came up with this insult in a dream, of all places, and I can't wait to try it on someone for real. And you're welcome to use it.
In response to a complete asshat:
"In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'veni, vedi, vici.' That's Latin for 'I came, I saw, fuck you.'"
Slag 'em off like a Yankee: "Why, I oughta POUND you!" Really hits 'em where it hurts. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Patrick Macnee was born wearing a tiny smoking jacket. Not a lot of people know that.
Interestingly, no other Trek news outlet (Trekcore, Trekmovie) reported this. Trek Central says only that "crew members have stated this? How did Trek Central is come by this information?
This may be whistling past the graveyard, but I'm not worrying until we get more definitive news. #StarTrek
This week on #Svengoolie, I recommend you bring as many rotten vegetables as you can to throw at Saturday's movie, "The Car."
To say it sucks is an insult to things that suck.
This is gonna be fun. MEH heh heh heh heh heh...
"Hello, I'm John Woodvine. I'll be your Peter Cushing this evening."

Always the cardinal, unbreakable rule that I've broken more than once.
Jenny Agutter was better than a great many of the roles she got, and I'm afraid I have to include this one.

"I'm not in the habit of bringing home strange young American men, but the mentally disturbed ones are a real panty-drop for me."

Okay, so Alex Price is into crazy blokes.

Gotta give it to Griffin Dunne, who does a fabulous impression of a pepperoni pizza.

"Nazi werewolves. Man, I HATE Nazi werewolves."

Is anyone else beginning to get the idea that somebody at MeTV gave Rich Koz a hard time about running this picture?
🤔

Fun Fact: Nicholas Roeg was originally slated to direct the infamous Flash Gordon (1980), but left when Dino Di Laurentiis accused him of "trying to make Shakespeare out of a comic strip."
I'd have liked to see *that* version.

Well, now we know that one of Landis' fantasies as a young man involved being fed by a hot nurse who finds him irresistable.
#Svengoolie
Nobody can tell me that Landis didn't cast the actor playin the Inspector because he looks and sounds like Claude Rains.

"David, once you recover I'm sure we can find a place for you here, and fulfilling employment. For example, would you be open to the idea of becoming a Pepper?"

In "The Howling," Joe Dante shot Rob Bottin's werewolf effects with very dark, atmospheric lighting, which had the effect of hiding any potential defects in the makeup. Here, John Landis shoots Rick Baker's effects much too brightly; at least, in my opinion. #Svengoolie
Yup. Rik just got a close-up; it's him, all right!
#Svengoolie
If true, screw the werewolves--I'd much rather see Rik Mayall wreaking havoc!

Werewolves got too much sense to walk around NYC in the middle of the night.
Sven didn't mention the brief displays of Jenny Agutter's nekkididity in the film, which almost certainly will not be seen tonight.
#Svengoolie
Tonight's movie may make me slightly homesick for New York—specifically The Slaughtered Lamb, which is a real pub in Greenwich Village named for the one in the picture. (There's been no evidence of werewolf murders, though.) #Svengoolie
I'm attending #Svengoolie tonight out of sheer curiosity, to see how much editing they were required to do.
Are you also wondering why someone told Greta Thyssen to sit there in that first shot, holding her cards up and staring into the camera with the thousand-yard-stare of the mad?

No matter what you post about of the state of the world, the sheer ugliness of people or the particular neuroses of your chosen fandom, you’ll never get the overwhelmingly positive response you will when you post about your cats.
Shhhh. We’re trying to keep her mutant abilities on the downlow. 🤫
Best I've had for the past two weeks. 👍
Me too! Yeah, she had a mass. We were really worried for a while there. But it was benign, and they removed it today. She'll be staying overnight, back home tomorrow.
