YES YES YES
excellent news!
rewatching Enterprise, there was a great episode (well, Jeffrey Coombs was in it, so obviously) which had a night time firefight on a planet and because of how it was lit you could see everything you needed to and were always aware of the locations of the characters, and that was over 20 years ago
I grew up with Syd Jordan's Jeff Hawke and Al Williamson's work, always loved mechanical tones so good to see the techniques in practice today
really nice use of tones, I approve :-)
the real problem is post production- everything gets graded to a burnt sienna haze. When you're depending on lighting you can create an environment with layers- what we're seeing at the minute is shooting day-for-night then covering everything in the equivalent of those old Lucozade wrappers.

For those that stuck with '24' until the end of Season 9, you'll remember Jack Bauer was taken by the Russians.
Now would be an EXCELLENT time for another season where he is released on a US/Russian exchange, and finds out the US President has been colluding with Russia, and stops it.
Three cool scientists introduce their work "Our new theory has been submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, but we feel its depths and intricacies are best appreciated on the limited-edition vinyl release."
