My work has broken me. Broken my spirit but my faith still exists.

Bluesky is collegial and interesting, the way Twitter used to be. Bonus: most people can spell.

if they want to go back to the 1950s, we’re bringing the cuisine back to the 1950s too. you put me in the kitchen, I will spend 100% of my time in there finding how much horseradish and shrimp I can put in Jello before God personally comes down here to stop me.

The artist, David Cohen is an Asheville-based artist/musician and resident of over forty years. His cartoon work spans various subjects ranging from local issues based in Asheville to more national political events and even to one-off, word-play-oriented jokes. ❤️ Give credit to artists when you can.

Closing time, earthlings.

You don’t have to go to another planet but you can’t stay here.

Bishop confronts Trump on his anti-trans, anti-immigrant policies at Washington National Cathederal The Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde’s remarks followed executive actions from Trump to crack down on immigration and roll back protections for trans people.

Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde is my new hero. I'm not religious, but I used to be a Christian. THIS is what they're meant to be like:

At some point they’re going to go after Wikipedia and the Wayback Machine. More decentralised global efforts needed.

It’s like “future you” isn’t really you. “Now you” will cease to exist and then there’ll be some other person who’ll have your memories.

Trying to hold onto “now you” is ADHD paralysis.

Global temperatures are the hottest they’ve been in at least 100,000 years.

So, heads-up on that.

Not intended as negative but one adhd thing I wish was talked about more is the frustration and anger that comes when you’re overstimulated.

I’m constantly overwhelmed by my job, which leaves me angry and exhausted and it isn’t my fault. People don’t deserve to be vilified for trying their best.

I get it now. The dopamine thing with ADHD. It’s like always tripping over yourself because you’re starving for dopamine. Reacting, hopping around, interrupting. Making a mess. Hunting around for that fix like a crazed junkie. Constantly in withdrawal. A nervous system out of order.

Pros of ADHD: Lots of ideas, being funny (sometimes unintentionally), hyperfixations are fun

Cons: The Horrors
