Young women, queer communities, & people of color generate & popularize the culture that later becomes mainstream. Mocking fangirls is just misogyny dressed up as culture policing. Show me one artist who doesn’t want/rely on those demographics & I’ll show you a goddamn liar.

The music industry can be a hard place to navigate if you’re using a moral compass.

It can be done, though. Be honest. Don’t step on anybody to get what you want. Don’t steal. Even if things don’t turn out the way you dreamed, at least you’ll be able to sleep at night.
