It’s been comforting hearing stories from Nurse Kenney’s friends and students about the many people she has helped and encouraged over her life. The nurses here say she has a strong heart but we all know that is an understatement. My heart is just breaking in a million pieces.

My mom, who by nature was a nurse her whole life, is now in hospice care. She’s someone that I’ve talked to nearly every day of my life and is one of my sources of strength. I’ve been honored to care for her the last few years and I’m afraid the end of my watch is coming soon.
