Right, I work in both of these countries and have organised many events in both for a number of years. I'm starting to think I should create some kind of organisation... no... more work? that's just crazy :D

That's a really interesting suggestion. Ireland might also be a useful outpost for this kind of thing?

Books, songs, mountains (been to the top vs wanting to go), paintings. Can this apply to almost anything or am I just not getting it?

Universities need Anti-Application Offices, with people who try to convince us not to apply for things, so we can focus on teaching and research, which is what they are paying us to do anyway.

I was joking of course, but what I had in mind was that the conclusion is something like: the principle does not apply to him.

'Pamela' by TOTO (1988) is not as good as 'Pamela' by the Icelandic band Dúkkulísurnar (1984). Check it out. But you can now also read my responses to comments on my book, forthcoming in an Inquiry special issue. I'm really grateful to Mark, Jessica, and Eliot for their amazing contributions!

I'm hiring a two-year postdoc in philosophy of language and mind, based at the University of Iceland. The postdoc will also be a Visiting Scholar at University College Dublin. Based on a grant Dan Harris and I received: philjobs.org/job/show/25898

The Pensions Office just responded to an email I sent exactly two years ago. Even sillier, some payment I owe gathered compound interest in the meantime.
