A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to restore historical slavery exhibits in Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, citing George Orwell’s “1984” in the ruling against their removal.

It’s a very interesting find from late Roman period, which shows that elite styles, that needed expensive, imported materials, still played an important social role in this part of Europe at this point in time.
