Happy Monday! What book on your TBR are you diving into this week? #booksky ๐
I dived into Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid this weekend and I'm hooked! ๐ช
And pinch and zoom on paper books ๐ซฃ
I hear that. I have a whole system, because I'm not addicted to reading or anything ๐คฃ Audiobook for getting ready time, driving and errands/housework. Physical or kindle for lounging reading time and before bed.
To be fair, I had earbuds on ๐คญ
You know you've been listening to too many audiobooks when you try to "pause" your kindle. #booksky
I absolutely recommend going out and seeing The Drama with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. I went in blind and was surprised, I loved it!
This looks like a good one to add #booksky ๐
Looks great! I've added it to my long TBR list!
Cover of the friend zone by Abby Jimenez
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez โญโญโญ #booksky Cute & clever, the story was sweet, although frustrating at times. The characters were funny and the pacing was good. I'm probably not the target audience but I still enjoyed it. I probably won't read the others but would recommend to millennials ๐ซถ

Finally digging into Remarkably Bright Creatures! #booksky ๐๐
I hope you love it as much as I did!
Omg. If I could give 10 stars โญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญโญ
Amazing. Beautiful. Nail biting. #booksky
We elected you to Congress to be a check on executive power, not a spectator.
You swore an oath to defend the Constitution, not to protect a man who threatens democracy, threatens war, and threatens the future.
Stop hiding behind voters.
Stop punting responsibility.

Do we even know anything about what Shelly likes or anything about her? Maybe if James would let her get a word in... #loveonthespectrum
At the bar, as my ears were being assaulted by young women with high pitched screeches.
Me- They should make a bar that's only for Gen X.
Husband - That's called home. #genx

TGIF TBR! #booksky ๐ What have you added to your TBR this week?
I've added:
Chicano by Richard Vasquez, Desert of the Heart by Jane Rule, and The Memory Police by Yoko Ogowa. Descriptions below!
I really struggled with my rating for this. I enjoyed the first 60%. A young woman is sent to live with her aunt in NY right after the start of WWII. She becomes part of her aunt's theater team. I felt like the last 20% was used as a filler to throw in a lot of "then this happened". It was ok

Welp, with being out of pocket for over a week (surgery)...I guess I'm NOT finishing any of my other books this month. Two completed this month. Reviews forthcoming.
I, Medusa by Ayana Gray โญโญโญโญ
Buckeye by Patrick Ryan โญโญโญโญโญ
I am currently reading four books. It's ridiculous ๐
Physical ๐ The Shadow of Perseus by Claire Heywood (Library book so I need to buckle down!)
Kindle (nighttime reading) The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez.
Two audiobooks ๐ง City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert & Requiem for Immortals by Lee Winter.
I just saw a once fierce supporter of trump post a reel stating she's not on "either side". No. You don't get to do that. You supported an evil PDFile, you wore the shirt, you promoted being a trad wife, you supported RFK. You don't get a pass.
๐Two families in a small town spanning through the 40s to the 80s. One night of passion connects the families for the rest of their lives. Beautifully written, and full of both enduring and frustrating characters. Would recommend!

I hate to keep throwing around 5 stars, but I keep choosing good books! Review below ๐
Communicating with medical staff and family after surgery is super difficult. I went with old school note pads on my phone. it was better than attempting to use miming words out. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
