The World Trade Organization failed to extend a ban on e-commerce tariffs after four days of talks in Cameroon.

TWN: "Colombia, Bangladesh and India pushed for any extension on e-commerce to be linked to the TRIPS non-violation complaints (TNVCs) moratorium, which prevents WTO members from bringing non-violation complaints under the TRIPS Agreement on intellectual property."

I would be shocked if the @wipo.int Broadcast Treaty is recommended for a diplomatic conference by #sccr46 The text appears to be a long way off from the consensus described by the chair in SCCR 45. It is not carefully limited to signal piracy and has many provisions on post-fixation activities.

Interesting question. It could certainly be in the mix, but I have not heard it being considered so far. Maybe it is an interesting time for a blog or short article. Ip cross retaliation can have the benefit of decreasing, instead of increasing, costs in the retaliating country.
