I like it this way! And I actually don’t hate the flames on the YJ

Doing it right takes longer. Just got the call from the machine shop that my 4.0 is done, so I will begin the journey of replacing the engine and manual swapping my TJ. You’ve inspired me to take the extra step to make it showroom worthy vs “good enough for me”
I’d keep an eye on that fuel tank patch putty stuff. I was using it daily, but it seemed to have a pretty high failure rate 2-4 weeks after install.

(Conveniently mentions Mozambique)
All I will ever think of is @jenkinsperformance.bsky.social when I see these dang things, now.
Damn. Hopefully the next used engine you get will be good!
Did it ingest the grid heater bolt? Or drop a valve seat?
The machine shop by me can get core engines and then you’d just have to eat the core charge.
Man, that’s a bad wrecker who did that. 0 pride in their work. Not like that’s a cheap used engine, either.
I always feel much more comfortable using a machine shop I know and trust. Obviously it’s more money and more time, but it’s also more quality. Sometimes customers can’t wait though.
Wow. This is my first time seeing the new Kicks after hearing a commercial on the radio for a week straight.
This actually looks nice.
The Year is 2050. After building a submarine, I log in to my $5999 blackout-free MLBTV subscription to watch the Bakersfield A’s (it’s temporary) on Polymarket Sports West. My Apple Vision Pro X vibrates. ERROR! WAGER NOT PLACED. I bet 3 ManfredCoin on the A’s starter reaching the 2nd inning (+150).
Damn
Things I miss from Gaming when I was a kid
🎮 Reading the game manual on the way home over and over
🎮 Playing the most random obscure game cos it was all you could get
🎮 the smell of a new game when you opened the case
🎮 4 Player Splitscreen at a friend's house
Good Times 😩
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but I have a feeling someone though “there… fixed”
Are you a whole milk or 2% kinda guy?
Yes the world sucks, but at least music exists.
I totally agree with you! I’m just a pessimist.
I guess fixing cars all day makes me realize how expensive things get QUICKLY.
The thing that kills me with lights is the LEDs will just randomly stop one day. Gone are the days of picking up a bulb from NAPA and throwing it in.
We had a 2020 explorer totaled out in 2020 (cop car that was hit hard in the front) and I want to say the headlights were close to $2k a piece. I’d be curious what the list price is at the dealer for that headlight!
$900 is still insane, but not nearly as bad as it could be!
When I see this, I just think how expensive that headlight assembly is. I worry about the longevity of them.
That’s how I feel about 90% of the tech in cars though….
SOME jeep people
The sad part is, this division isn’t new. They’re just proud of it, now….
Thankfully you didn’t get a bunch of cups!
It’s so much easier to accidentally take a handful a day for a year from work
That’s what every charger cop car I work on looks like.
I’ve replaced two oil pans and an engine (because of a cracked oil pan) in 6 months.
