Actually, I’ve explained this MANY TIMES
This generation of Black ppl vote MORE than any generation since we got the right to vote
But after the 1st Black was elected, WHITE PPL began turning out in historic numbers to vote for Trump. As this graph CLEARLY shows…
The “crisis” is white people.
Question for anyone who makes things (professionally or personally or somewhere in between):
What would you do if you had a whole year, fully funded, with the one requirement that you NOT make anything for public consumption during that year?
Write for myself, quilt for myself, learn to tat or work on basketry.
Take pottery classes and figure out if thrown pottery still feels right to my hands.
Learn to use a supported spindle or a charka.
Get someone in to help level adequate space for proper raised beds and also set up a berry garden.

KnitSpinQuilt’s Etsy shop will be temporarily closed from April 20-May 1.
I’m having surgery on April 22nd and will need some time to recover afterwards before I can get back to work.
(This operation should mitigate some long COVID symptoms, and relieve migraines and brain fog.)

So glad you like it! Prince looks a bit dubious, but maybe he’ll come around ;)
Thank you! 💜💜
Thank you, Kim! 💜
My form of blockage in the transverse sinus means they can put in a stent to open up blood flow.
The term to look up is “transverse sinus stenosis”
I’m told some doctors will require a lumbar puncture first to measure CSF pressure—my surgeon measured pressure as part of the exploratory angiogram.
(ICP is sometimes used interchangeably with cerebrospinal fluid pressure/CSF pressure)
In my case, he thinks what I’m having is not actually traditional migraine but persistent (no longer idiopathic) daily headaches caused by my brain basically pressure cooking 24/7 inside my skull.
So it’s for increased intercranial pressure, which is often first diagnosed as pseudotumor cerebri (aka IIH) — my headache neuro sent me for an MR venogram and found an obstruction in my transverse sinus, which was preventing blood flowing out of my skull and wildly increasing intercranial pressure

The Women's Print History Project collects bibliographic data on printed objects associated with women's production. I've been itching to query the data not limited by the UI, and ✨ I finally get to ✨ Here are some things I've been able to surface...

In case you want to look at MORE bags for knitting and crafting projects, here's @alisakbeer.bsky.social with some recent cat-related ones!
Oh that’s cool.
🤣🤣
Feels important to uplift Rep Pressley's leadership. She puts in a lot of work on issues that others often don't see as a priority. I've appreciated her anti-criminalization work over the years. She's a worker.
Oh I absolutely did that too.
What a lovely surprise!!!
Definitely a sheep, I see no cat in that picture.
Book bound in marbled paper over boards, paper label, ties dangling from outer margins of covers.
Some properly dangling alum-tawed skin ties. These have often been cut off or similar from old books.
I inhaled most of this @snarkbat.bsky.social jawn in one day because as usual Elsa's writing is just soooo smart + wise + kind + fucking funny + yummy-snax readable
and THIS IS A BOOK THAT EVERY HUMAN SHOULD READ
because it's about how we love each other better?
and it's INTERESTING AF
so:
Just under halfway there, thank you everyone sharing!
