The carousel is a terrible idea. You don't need to steal UX concepts from Threads. Nobody who uses your app likes Threads, that's why we're here instead of there.

The idea that kept jumping out to me was "this woman has all the hallmarks of a very serious drinking problem." (Not in any way an excuse for her behavior, just an explanation for why she seems to keep doing this at/after cocktail parties)
Yeah, for the most part "bank and casino heists" are just "some dickhead points a gun at a bunch of hourly-wage workers and runs out with whatever cash is closest at hand," not "cool movie shit."
(None of that changes the fact that the people reading about him in the Times/on microblogging sites like this one are probably the least-Normie of all the audiences reacting to him)
To be more precise, the actual Normie way to encounter Hasan is in clips (mostly curated by fans) that show up in your YouTube or Instagram Reels feed. Those are the Normies who like him. The people catching his actual streams on Twitch are a tiny, extremely niche audience by comparison.
FACILIS DESCENSVS METS BASEBALL
Hell yeah
You can't fool me with some fancy minimalist aesthetics... I know a Vespa when I see one.
Three True Outcomes, bay-bee! Who wants to see balls in play or defensive effort? The ideal ballplayer only ever walks, strikes out, or hits a dinger, anything else is inefficient caveman-ball.
POV photograph of a hand touching grass, which is what this user should do.
Is this the biggest firm yet to be implicated in an AI fuckup like this?
Making a play for that Millennial early-aughts nostalgia dollar, I see.
Keeping it to the NBA to keep it light:
1. MJ was sent off to play baseball for a couple years as a backdoor suspension for gambling.
2. Ewing to NY & LeBron to CLE were both rigged.
3. Jerry Buss had someone give Len Bias a hot shot.
TFW you're part of the Elder Council of pure-blood vampires and that degenerate upstart whelp Deacon Frost is putting the entire vampire establishment at risk with his reckless and borderline-blasphemous pursuit of The Blood God, instead of simply dispatching the abomination Blade as commanded.
Except, when comics retcon something, they include the retcon in the new issue you just bought, they don't make you buy a re-edited trade paperback of a previous arc.
Retcons have always been a thing in comic books, but those happen *in the pages/story of the new issues,* not by demanding readers re-buy trade paperbacks of old arcs with new panels added. This says to me that the script is likely a DOG, and/or straight-up doesn't make sense.
Does anybody at Disney/Marvel actually think audiences have the patience for this? That there's anyone who's so excited for the new Avengers movie that they'll pay theater prices to watch a slightly recut movie they've already seen, just so the new movie is comprehensible? Have they learned nothing?
Deniability of intent. They claimed the church was hit by accident, that the women killed by snipers were believed to be armed, etc. The intent in the Jesus statue photo isn't deniable, unless they were going to claim it was fabricated, which they didn't.

Name your band "High Voltage" and each of these can be the cover to successive albums.
Oh god, don't get me started on Three True Outcomes (tm) baseball.
Me, a basketball fan: Excessive 3-point shooting is the result of the triumph of cold, statistics-driven calculusball, which is spiritually Fascist.
Also me, a Celtics fan: Tatum's definitely going to surpass Kobe's career playoff 3s mark in this playoffs. LOL, LMAO.
"A chicken in every pot, and an Akallabêth for Silicon Valley."
-A slogan to appeal to me and the ~12 other people who are annoyed by all the evil tech firms naming themselves after Lord of the Rings shit.
Who cares? A car can do 13 miles in 6.5 minutes (or less), with a smooth stretch of road. What makes the record impressive from a human isn't that we're doing it on two legs, it's that we're stretching the bounds of organic, human endurance. A robot doing it faster than a human is just... duh?
The story of King David (a flawed and sometimes-evil ruler can be God's instrument if you want it hard enough) and Calvinism (some people are just The Elect and everything they do is blessed by God) is a mixture that makes bleach and ammonia look like a strawberry daiquiri.
If we read "most" as a bare majority of "5," it's very plausible (but also, I agree, evidence that the Court is, and has been, intellectually and ethically defunct).
A Republican losing whites AND men is "wipe out the party, start over with a new one" territory. Hopefully it'll hold through November, but I'd expect some retrenchment as we get closer to election day (unless they keep doing stupid shit, which they probably will!)
