I don't want to go into details, but I'm alive in large part because a trans kid needed my help when I was very suicidal.

I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.

The reason I fight #northsky is because members of the staff, and their besties spent more than 6 months telling people I was a “rape apologist”, because a couple trans people i didn’t know at the time who were friends with someone they don’t like followed me, and I followed back.

Apropos of nothing, I just carefully spread some Nutella on a cinnamon graham and I swear to God I now have that sticky brown curse in my hair, and probably the soles of my feet. How?!!?

As early as I knew I could, I spent my recess time in the school library to avoid getting brutally bullied— always verbally, sometimes physically— on the playground. I found peace and solace and learned how to code on the one computer my school library had at the time.
