Too many people don’t understand that republics are a form of democracy; they aren’t an entirely different form of government. Republics are representative democracies. The US is too big for every voter to become informed & vote on every issue, so we elect representatives to do that for us.

The 25th amendment requires the cabinet’s participation in the process. (The VP and Cabinet must initiate the process unless POTUS declares himself unable to perform the duties.) Congress gets to adjudicate when POTUS and the cabinet disagree.

Yes. I love my county library. Not only do they have books and access to online resources, they have music, movies, puzzles, baking pans and small kitchen appliances, fishing poles, yard games, social groups, classes, etc.

You need more than a new Speaker. The Senate must have at least 67 members willing to vote to convict. We’ve been through this 4 times (A Johnson, Clinton, Trumpx2). 4 impeachments, but 0 convictions.

It is very different from impeachment. Once convicted through impeachment, the person can never hold public office again. The 25th provides a process for POTUS to return to full power.

My thought exactly! Most teens are emotionally and financially unprepared for parenthood. It wasn’t long ago that I read about the “epidemic” of teen pregnancies, impact on finances, quality of life, and society’s burden. In addition, I remember the general concern about world population growth.
