That seems kinda ridiculous.
It also implies that summarizing anything that someone else wrote without permission could be illegal there. How are school kids supposed to study literature?

Always remember: For those used to privilege, equality can seem like oppression.
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
For-profit organizations must absolutely have NOTHING to do with healthcare. From health insurance to hospitals to owning the land used by retirement and rehabilitation facilities, as this story discusses, it only makes care worse while others profit from that misery.

Getting paid to do what you'd otherwise do for free is pretty much the ideal, isn't it?
I was curious and looked it up. Turns out -- and this surprised me -- that a horse is probably not going to be able to outrun this robot over 13.1 miles. Over a short distance? Absolutely, but horses can't maintain over ~12mph for long distances, meaning this robot would beat them (a la the hare).
Alright...so "good" this time 👍

No tweet has ever been truer than this one!
In a good way or in a bad way? Because it's the Reds, so you never can assume.
Solo travel is fine, but I more enjoy having someone there to share the sights with *as long as* they're flexible and easy-going and unlikely to stress out when plans go awry (as they often do when traveling).
The rightwing media machine has largely convinced its audience that climate change is natural, not a threat, and/or not even occurring, leading them to take no actions to mitigate it...and bearing no responsibility for doing so.
And who benefits from it? The oil & gas industry & most US carmakers.
"...beliefs about the cause of global warming have diverged by party... In 2001, 72% of Democrats, 59% of Independents, and 52% of Republicans attributed global warming to...human activities. Now, 90% of Democrats, 65% of independents and just 28% of Republicans say this."

I hope you feel better soon, man.
When you're lamenting a drop in "teen births," you really have lost all perspective.
Sometimes our prescriptions cost almost nothing. My last one was $11.
The problem is that some prescriptions cost $60,000 and you have to mortgage your home to not die.
“.. Inflation was coming down in the United States — and then Trump’s tariffs happened.”

Trump is touting the no tax on tips provision in his budget bill.
But many tipped workers won't benefit because their earnings are so low. And the provision expires in 2028.
The estate tax cuts that primarily benefit the rich? Those were made permanent.
Funny how that works.
TL;DR: Trump and his Republicans are bad for American businesses

If we had started shifting our investment from fossil fuels to solar, wind & other renewables back in the 80s when we first realized we should, here are some things we wouldn't have to worry about now:
- Petrostate politics
- Climate change
- Gas prices
- Data center energy consumption
Reanimated corpse Gene Wilder is still funnier than most living actors today.
My mom died from pancreatic cancer. I'm at risk of it.
RFK Jr. is literally an existential threat to me.
Talk about a heavenly body, oh yeaaahhh
DHS deported a US citizen to Mexico. Brian Morales is 25 years old who was born in Denver. Pulled over in Texas with his construction crew. Didn’t have his ID on him and told officers he could get his birth certificate, Social Security card, and medical records from home.
The guy bitching about gas prices as he fuels up his pickup also has a "Trump 2024" sticker on his bumper and he'll never ever ever ever connect those two things.
Good grief, @microsoft.com, "none...is" is grammatically correct because "none" is actually a contraction of "not one," which is singular.
You didn't pay extra to upgrade your streaming service to the "no shills" tier.
I still miss my GPlus crowd. That was lovely.
Early on, it was rowdy but generally good-spirited. Then it got "managed" and monetized and noisier, mostly not in a good way. Then it got overrrun with trolls, racists, and other vermin. Now it's just [spreads hands] :-\
