French is my mother tongue and living in Quebec I would play the NA version of games that would most of the time only be in English. DKC3 had a French option which was uncommon at the time. All that buildup to say that Funky was the first game character with dialogue I could read and understand.

Even Fox from the hit game Smash Bros Melee can't make me go see it in theatre, but might check it out once it's available digitally. Or watch the Kongversation about it, because really I'm only in it for the DKU stuff as well.
Turns out Double Dragon IV is very bad. The attempt at mimicking the style of DDII is very half-assed, most of the assets feel like they don't belong in the same game. The 16:9 ratio feels wrong, the level design is bland.

I'll try Double Dragon IV next. At a glance it looks very similar to DD II on NES. I love this one and it's one of my favorite NES games so I don't IV being styled after it visual and gameplay wise.

Been in a Double Dragon mood recently and visiting some games I've never tried including Revive. I'm sure a normal person would think the game is dogshit but I'm not normal. I think it's alright. I love the series as wildly inconsistent as it is, changing developpers constantly.
Quality over quantity. Troff doesn't need a dozen pair of breasts when he's rocking those damn sexy nipple rings. I know this is a controversial opinion and I might get cancelled for this, but Troff has the best nipples in the DKU.

This is going to keep me awake at night. Donkey Konga 3 has very little documentation on TCRF and I need to know if there's any reference to Barnacle somewhere, even just a text string. All that to say, I'll datamine the game myself and see if I find anything of interest.
