Here's how I see this guy. He's an amateur way over his head for the position provided, Secretary of Defense. I don't care if I HAS served active duty. Serving isn't the same as leading.

This reminds me how Iraqi prisoners of war were allegedly sometimes shipped to countries allowing torture during interrogations. Bush didn't want to have military/CIA fingerprints on torture. Big scandal over it here once the word got out.

He was not just berating the Press. He lost it. Yup, the civilian head of our armed forces lost it just because the Press wanted a clarification.

Let's see how he would do NOW or in 2028 with an even GREATER turnout given all that's gone on over the last 100 days. Turns out, last election was like ordering a steak and getting dogfood.

CNN received Trump's wrath today. Note that he filed a $475 million defamation suit against CNN in 2022. Trump lost. In fact, the Florida judge dismissed the suit in 2023.

In all my years, I have never before seen such shameful behavior displayed by our Prez and his Secretary of Defense as reported today. F-Bombs? Ranting over push backs from the Press for clarifications? So I ask: how are they going to handle a real crisis? Or diplomatic missions? I'm aghast.

Yeah, all the billionaires are now lining up to get their share of tax-payer dollars. And yet, I am supposed to believe that all these guys share a wit for the rest of us. Our government has become a big cash register for the rich, in all three branches. A clear betrayal of what Trump promised.

About to see a 1984 moment. Trump promised in his campaign "no war with Iran". But bombs Iran without the approval of Congress. Then claimed Iran's nuke ability obliterated, with no evidence. Defying intel so far collected.
He took a big risk. Likely failed. A weakened Prez. Watch what's next

I think you're exactly right. We are in the midst of a propaganda war as much as a military effort.

Musk and Peter Thiel founded PayPal. Peter Thiel now owns Palantir, a company contracted by ICE to help identify & apprehend "illegal" immigrants. Thiel has been a strong backer and donor to Trump. Steve Miller, Trump's anti-immigration hardliner, holds a huge financial stake in Palantir. Facts

Stephen Miller has been Trump's foremost architect and supporter of his hardline deportation plans. So now I learn that Miller's profiting from this mass deportation effort? I think that's conflict of interest, to be sure.

Obviously because the US has a President who never wore a uniform yet seems in love with the idea of war. Yes, our last election was like handing a Glock to a 5 year-old.

And yet there is a severe shortage of low-cost housing in this country. There's plenty of demand. It's just that not many folks can even cough up a down-payment now. Price of gas and food going up? Peanuts compared to housing. Why? Too many McMansions and not enough Cape Cods.

As of now, my understanding is that the actual damage report has not yet been completed. Difficult because analysts are not being given access to the sites. Until we get the full on-the-ground analysis, it's all speculation based on such intel as satellite photos or sources from within Iran.

Because I'm a vet and I somewhat see USAF's part in this. Trump's mission = to destroy Iran's bomb threat. His tool? USAF. B2 pilots then ORDERED to bomb 3 Iranian sites without being detected while reducing collateral damage. They did it! I commend the pilots (flawless), but not USAF Command.

I heard on NPR this morning an interview with a member of the House Intelligence Committee. Either House or Senate. He's a Dem so biased. Still he has the latest Iran data. Not yet a complete analysis. But no way did we crush Iran. Right now, conclusion that Trump's move made things worse.

This is indeed a thorny ethical issue. Because right now, we have lost ownership of our own DNA identity as we provide our DNA here and yon without a thought. Yes, it can be used to find criminals. But it can also be sold to the highest bidder.

That's what he does. He's our own national entertainer who constantly seeks the spotlight of world attention. He craves attention, almost addicted to it, positive or negative. Note how quickly he declared "complete success" for the bomb drops. "You see, you see, I'm great!"

Ah, a perfect example of how hard the Press is these days to grab one's attention through fear and then hold it. Breaking News? That's when the pulsing earth ACTUALLY takes out a part of a continent IMO.

As a USAF vet, I see the mission through military eyes. USAF did what it was supposed to do UNDER ORDERS from Trump. Drop some experimental bombs on particular targets. A mission performed without flaw. But success was always a risk. & a strategic mistake. I don't blame USAF. I do blame Trump.

You have a point. Trump's "mission" was to destroy Iran's capability. The Air Force mission was to deliver bombs and drop them on target with no civilian casualties. The use of stealth bombers and decoys went flawlessly. The B2s did their job. Success was always a risk. So a strategic mistake.

Indeed.

Regarding Iran's highly enriched uranium. Yes, it's 60% enriched. As I understand it, use of uranium at this level is not required for peaceful purposes. But 90% is required for a bomb. So, how long might it take for Iran to bring their uranium up to 90%. Bet they're working on it now!!

Am I crazy when I see a similarity between what Netanyahu is doing and Putin? Putin is attacking Ukraine as part of a strategy to bring back the old Soviet Union. Netanyahu, to restore the Biblical Promised, especially the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank, part of bygone Canaan

Actually, from a military tactical point of view it was flawless. But from a strategic and political point of view, it was indeed a disaster for the reasons stated. We Americans should have learned after Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan that wars are no longer winnable IMO.

Wait! Does being a convicted felon like Santos merit any attention for his endorsement? Gee, what a time I live in. Once upon a time, felons were not even allowed to vote. Uh, maybe that's still true in New York State?

I theorize that the U.S., unbeknownst to us Americans, has actually become a territory of the State of Israel with Trump as its Governor. That's the only thing that makes sense right now.

I wonder what it will take to awaken Americans out of our trance and see Netanyahu's actions for what it truly is: genocide. What about ending Hamas? Well, what happened to the Biblical "eye for an eye". Not thousands of innocent eyes for one guilty! If it looks like a duck . . .

Iran reported to have already moved its Uranium stocks before bombing. They certainly realized the threat. If I were them, I'd have secretly setup backup underground Uranium processing units ready to go after first three destroyed. Our Intel would surely know that? Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.
