I’m so glad!
Trying to plan out some color patterns for extinct beaked whales… I don’t wanna go too too crazy but I still wanna make em unique .
Choneziphius, Dagonodum, Nenga, Mesoplodon slangkopi, & Globicetus.

#art
- Tika (17), formerly a member of a different pod (including her mate and calf) that was killed by a mega pod of Orcas.
- and Tá (9), a young male learning from Tazmo and is for some reason the most attractive to cookiecutter sharks, hence the many bite marks.
- Tazmo (34 years old), the dominant senior bull.
- Tati (27), the oldest female.
- Taziki (10)
- Eko (15), the newest mate of Tazmo.
- Echo (<1 year old), the calf of Tazmo and Eko.

Oh yeah! This is the second largest family of cetaceans, yet unmistakably the least known!
Precisely - abelisaurs because of a space rock and Moa because of… a naked ape. 😅
*9 more to go 😅

A huge, heavily built helodermatid lizard with a thick tail and curved claws. It has blue and black scales, decorated with vertical bands of creamy white. Its huge, partially bifurcated tongue hangs from its open mouth. A size comparison shows it to be larger than a human, around 3 meters in total length.
A giant monstroderm lizard swallows a spike-covered phrynosomatid lizard called a thorntail. The thorntail is mostly dark with a complex camouflaged pattern of earthy brown, grey, and whites. Its feet and hands are covered in vivid blue, red, yellow, and green. The surrounding desert is full of flower-filled bushes and cacti, and the sky is scene is bathed in the orange hues of sunset.
A New Age of Reptiles: The Monstroderm
One might think the vast deserts and arid scrubland of the American west are too desolate for giant predators, but that assumption could could cost a field researcher their life.
Monstroderms prowl these lands, and everything that moves is on the menu. (1/11)
This is your annual reminder that Moa are the ONLY dinosaurs to completely lose their forelimbs!
They only had a tiny shoulder remnant.

Which is absolutely insane!
Not completely - they were extremely reduced, but not absent.
