I find it hilarious that the second most popular version of Clair De Lune on streaming right now is the track from Danganronpa V3.
Oh the irony of FX (American TV network owned by Disney) including Independence Day and Twister as part of an Earth Day movie marathon.
Babe, wake up, a new Folding Ideas video just dropped.
Pokémon folks! Looking for a Fennekin / Braixen / Delphox from Legends Z-A so I can get the Delphoxite in Champions!
Reach out if you want to do a trade!
Almost won in a one-on-one in Vivillon vs Hero Form Palafin.
Almost.
Agree. Playing it now, I think the Pokémon and main character models look great, the GUI all looks good… But in general it all kinda looks and feels like pre Switch 2 Scarlet and Violet.
I think it will improve with updates, but to what extent? Nooooo idea.
Yes yes yes. Not sure how much S1 will adapt but even the early manga arcs are very, VERY good.
Look at me, I’m anti-meta!
Getting back into competitive Pokémon for the first time since Gen 5 with Pokémon Champions!
Still learning the current metagame, but making good progress!
Anyway. Attempting to claw back a normal semblance of life.
Marriagetoxin! I've kept up with the manga and even just one episode into the anime I know this adaptation is going to COOK.
I’m done paying attention to the news for… probably a week. I think I’ve had a few years knocked off my life.
Don’t usually pick up Nendoroids but I just HAD to with this one. There has been SO little merch of Yotsuba officially released in the US.
Now please excuse me while I extract the wholesomeness from Volume 15 and inject it directly into my veins.
“Whoops”.
In air quotes.
They see me raidin’
They hatin’
It's lighting, textures / materials, and particle effects.
As someone who works in 3D (but not for game dev), the models themselves aren't usually the problem, it's stuff like gigantic 2K / 4K textures (at least 4 or 5 per material), and real-time, dynamic, photoreal lighting and shadows.
Thank you, $34.99 DLC purchasers, for your noble sacrifice.
…and for letting me mooch off of your Tera Raids.
It still looks low-rent in places, but it now runs super-smooth on the Switch 2. Like it should have been at launch.
Looking for some help with DLC-exclusive Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet to prep for Champions!

Happy to hunt for and trade base game version exclusives!
Stranger Than Heaven looks goooooood.

It’s just “the aesthetic”. Compare color grading in 2020s live action films to crazy stuff from the 1990s like Hook.
It’s even weirder that studios are doubling down on “gray” color grading when televisions can do amazing HDR now.
Breaking my self-imposed Bluesky sabbatical to say...
The Amazing Digital Circus Ep 8... Holy freaking wow.
I AM GLEEFULLY RE-ENERGIZED BY CONSUMING THIS SLOP-FREE SOUNDTRACK
Every time I think, "oh, maybe we AREN'T in the worst world line after all", I am reminded that yes, we are indeed in the worst world line after all.

Gravity Rush Remastered might have my least favorite controls of any game I’ve played in recent memory.
When it gets it right, it’s so good… But when it gets it wrong, it’s absolutely abysmal.
Next game on deck: Gravity Rush Remastered!
This game being next on my playlist is PURELY coincidental to what recently happened with Bluepoint. Nevertheless, I’ve always admired the well-intentioned heart that Gravity Rush has, despite its… “interesting” gameplay design.
It has the typical foibles of indie Metroidvanias - mainly, combat that feels a little unbalanced, and too much lore explained in too vague terms. But I really enjoyed this one.

I also liked the premise of the enemies - sentient everyday electronic devices and machines taken over by a virus. I absolutely laughed out loud when I started getting chased around by an oven that literally breathed fire. It's delightful.
And in conjunction with that, what I liked a whole lot was that all of the areas in the world map felt distinct - mainly due to the use of background color. You could always tell where you were, and where you transitioned to, as you moved around.
