New soap dish design is out of the glaze kiln!
These have an internal spiral that drains into a deeper outer channel, unlike my previous design (right) which just had three raised rings and a huge puddle underneath over time.

Thanks! It actually chipped coming out of the bisque kiln, so I let one of my 4 year olds glaze it. I can’t believe how good it turned out.
She did a yellow stroke and coat, then I did 1-2 coats of Spectrum Tiger’s Eye over the top and it turned out great. She’s been using it for every meal now 😂
Here’s to sunny days ahead

Anyone else spending their Saturday night drinking champagne and painting mugs while listening to old high school mixes? 💿 🍾 #questionablepotterypractices
Apple blossoms are about to open, and Spectrum’s Shallot glaze is the perfect spring pink

Spring sunshine dapples a dusty backyard pottery shed
It’s a lovely morning to throw some pots 🌸
Surprised by how much I like this little succulent planter- glazed with Mayco Wintergreen Matte under Lavender Mist, fired to cone 6

Best I can do to help is send a couple farts your way 💨 💨 bon voyage!
My home! Lovely job capturing the color in the clouds at sunset. They are so incredible here
For some reason I always have to follow a little cohort of pots from start to finish. I can’t seem to make more until they are out of the glaze kiln. This week’s little batch is drying in my house during a cold snap.

It was so lovely in central Oregon I was drying my mug handles in the sun today ☀️

ok but I really want a big group of potters to watch it simultaneously and just shit talk it on here. That sounds so fun
You interested??? I’ll throw another! I like this form it was fun to make. If it survives the first firing I’ll get back to you about glaze colors
New cigar ashtray in the works 🥃

You aren't going to believe what's coming out about this ICE warehouse in Georgia!

I had turned 18 just a few weeks before the election and she somehow knew I was going to vote for Obama.
I LOVE voting by mail in #Oregon. I have so much time to research and read about candidates and make an informed decision. I don’t have to take off work.

The ONLY time I’ve had my vote stolen illegally was in the very red state of #Tennessee.
My abusive (but charming) mother told the voting center staff she wanted to “show me how to use the machines” since it was my first election. She proceeded to vote red down the line.

Riley Gaines gonna be so pissed when she realizes she didn’t get a medal this round either…
I really want to try this! I’ve seen some gorgeous examples - thanks for the inspiration!
One of the things I love about #pottery is that sometimes you become obsessed with a random form (I don’t even juice things really 🤷♀️) and then you can see your progress. That first dark blue one is terrifying but at least it has a #flaredbase

As someone new to crochet I was making granny squares and was confused why they were color blocked, your video made me realize I had self striping yarn! So I did a single big chunk for the start of my toddlers’ egg apron and it looks great. Thanks for making this!
Been taking a break from my freezing cold pottery shed and learning to #crochet 🧶
Mayco’s Black Walnut glaze outside with a studio blue rutile inside. Finally got the metallic effect on this one! I absolutely love it
