My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc.

A really great way to help queer and trans creators is to be an advocate for their work. Creators with financial and career support have more options and better tools to take care of themselves during an awful time.

Now is an especially fantastic time to be an obnoxiously loud supporter of art by trans and queer creators. Particularly the art that doesn’t bend over backwards to make itself as “safe” and palatable as possible for a “mainstream” audience.

I saw the Sunset Boulevard revival last weekend and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Absolutely perfect show for me personally— musical theater guy AND film guy — to watch. I hardly knew anything going in and it FLOORED me.
