Mostly I just get people wanting to tell me their ideas for books, and the occasional "I'll tell you the idea and you write the book and we'll split the money." I have learned to politely but firmly shut those down.

You'll always be a writer. Even if you aren't currently writing. I've taken breaks, sometimes for years, but have always come back to it.
Me too!
Me too for that one.
The Rifleman
The Adams Family Vs The Munsters
My buddy Win Scott Eckert got write one a few years back.
My favorite Hammer Dracula film.
One hundred and forty-four years ago on the 21st of April, out in the waters around Spivey Point, a small clipper ship drew toward land. Suddenly, out of the night, the fog rolled in...
Paperback for scale.
If you put those in someone's ear you can control them.
You're wishing people into the Cornfield?
Got the new Kindle set up. I'm actually pretty taken with it. Light. Compact. Nice clear screen.
Great to see you and Linda together. She's a good egg.
I get the feeling JMR was just having fun with it. He pretty much lifted Haggard for one of them too. That said, his historical knowledge really gives his Conans an edge most of the others don't have.
I seem to remember the same, though haven't gotten to that point yet. he's Talking to Gutman now. Conan is not a man who enjoys talking to a man who likes to talk.
The state of the Brag Shelf. There are two books missing at the moment, but the whole top shelf and a third of the second have stuff by me. I should be in three more anthologies this year. maybe four.
And to you. Looking forward to new Solomon Kane
Hey, we share a cover artist, @patrickzircher.bsky.social . I've got a story coming up in another of Dan's anthologies too.
FB Memories tells me I first read this book 12 years ago today. In an odd coincidence I started rereading it last night. This is the one where John Maddox Roberts cheekily swiped plot elements from two Dashiell Hammett books, THE MALTESE FALCON and RED HARVEST.
@jeffstrand.bsky.social and I signed them at Necon that summer. Weston Ochse may have as well.
Limited edition, signed by the contributors.
At the time, books I'd either written or had a story in took up about half of one shelf. Now it's a shelf and a half. I parked my books beside Karl Edward Wagner who was probably my biggest influence writing horror.
Back in 2018 when CLICKERS FOREVER edited by @briankeene.bsky.social came out, I was including an 'Angry Crab in Top Hat' sketch for anyone who asked.
Same. I only watched the Bramwell arc once. As far as I'm concerned the show ended when Barnabas, Julia, and Prof Stokes got back.
I've watched it through three times, so now I just tend to pick a storyline and watch that. Today I started with the arrival of Nicholas Blair because he's my favorite villain. I own the whole series on DVD, but Prime has it as well.
Short story edits received, reviewed, and returned same day. Editors love me.
