On the Roy Wilkins Park Shooting: Our community lost one of our sons on Friday. It's an understatement to say he was gone too soon. Jaden Pierre was only 15 years old when he was shot in Roy Wilkins Park. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It's gut-wrenching. Roy Wilkins is supposed to be the place for children to find peace and refuge. We must fight to prevent gun violence more than ever, by addressing the root cause. Letβs come together and explore community-centered solutions to protect and steer our youth in the right direction. I applaud the bravery of the good Samaritan who did his best to intervene. There is hope when we support one another.
Happy Tax (the Rich) Day! As we push Hochul to fight for working families, let's not forget a key part of #taxtherich conversation! Our property tax system crushes working and middle class families to favor the ultra wealthy. Let's fix this broken system for *truly* affordable housing!

#tb to the great time I had speaking to folks at the past Community Board 12 meeting. Congratulations to all of the women honored in this meeting for Woman's History Month!

Martin Luther King was decrying militarism in the 60's. Now in 2026 we are still facing the same issues. As MLK put it, "wars are poor chisels for carving out peaceful tomorrows." #nowaroniran
π’ I will work to support truly affordable housing, universal childcare, healthcare for all, taxing the rich, and getting ICE out of NYC. From quality of life services in AD 33 to affordability fought in Albany- join me, and let's stand together for all working families!
WFP holds politicians accountable and honest. The left uplifts Democrats who aren't afraid to stand up against injustice. This is what democracy is made of.
We have one of the highest rates of voting and civic involvement in the city- yet we are neglected by the establishment until election time comes. π« Itβs time to say no more.
It's not often that a primary challenge builds momentum where I'm from. With the support of our community, I'm here to change that- right here in Assembly District 33.
A close-up black and with photo of state assembly candidate Oster Bryan in front of the "Working Families Party" logo in an orange and purple background. Oster wears glasses, has short, tightly coiled hair, and is wearing a suit with a scarf wrapped around his neck. The first line of text at the top of this picture states, "NYWFP Endorses." The second line of text -right underneath the first line- states, "Oster Bryan." The last line of text -located and the bottom of the picture- states, "Assembly District 33."

This race has been 15 years in the making. Many days of learning, organizing, protesting, educating and advocating have led to this moment. I'm humbled to earn the endorsement of WFP.
While this past strike has ended, the work continues. I will continue to support nursesβ right to safe staffing. #unionstrong.
I commend the enduring efforts of these nurses to fight for safety and adequate staffing in order to ensure that they're able to do their job with dignity. Thank you to all that supported our essential workers on the picket line. When nurses strike, they fight for the safety and health of everyone.
Congratulations to the hard-working nurses that fought for the labor and safety of all. In one of the largest strikes in New York City history came to a close, the NYSNA successfully reached a deal.
It's Day 5 of @osterforus.bsky.social's campaign! I skipped Day 4 for π but am back and will share another photo :)
Here's Oster last week at Linden Blvd and 180th, continuing to show up against a planned lithium-battery farm in St. Albans.
He's been active in environmental-justice work for years.
It's Day 3 of @osterforus.bsky.social's campaign, so I'll share another photo of Oster.
Here's Oster at an Oct 2024 meeting of the St. Albans Civic Improvement Association, which he's led for years.
With him is NY WFP's Jasmine Gripper, who asked civic members to vote on the Working Families line.
Good afternoon, Krystal! We reposted with alt text, and turned on the requirement to have the text added to all future posts.
Yesterday, over 20,000 nurses from 12 hospitals throughout this city voted to go on strike to demand support for better working conditions. Nurses are facing an understaffing crisis- they are left with far more patients than they are able take care of- creating a dangerous and unsafe work environment. The demands of nurses have long been ignored- calls for a newer, fairer contract have been delayed time after time. enough is enough. People who TIRELESSLY work everyday to provide dignified care to our community deserve that same dignity in the workplace. TheY deserve safer staffing, adequate healthcare services, and protections for vulnerable patients. As your assemblymember, I will always stand in solidarity with the service unions and union jobs that helped build District 33 and provided for the care of all queens folks. I am reminded of the thousands of Nurses in Southeast Queens who take pride in their job but who have lost hope in better. NYSNAβs bravery has reignited that hope. I take pride in standing in solidarity with NYSNA.

To tip the balance of power in the NYS Assembly from neoliberal Center to progressive Left, we must win ~7 more primaries.
IMO, our best pick-up opportunity in all of eastern Queens resides in @osterforus.bsky.social.

It's Day 2 of @osterforus.bsky.social campaign, so allow me to share another fact about (and photo of) Oster. Here he is with Zohran, and the wonderful Whiteheads, in early June.
If you know St. Albans + Cambria Heights, you know: supporting Zohran in early June wasn't easy to do. But that's Oster.
Photo shows Oster Bryan outside a storefront in Queens with a big small and wearing a black, green, and red knit scarf. Text in matching colors in lower right says, "Oster for us"
Image with alt-text (our apologies- won't happen again- thank you @thesasha.bsky.social π )
I'm Oster Bryan and Iβm asking for your permission- not just your vote- to be your next Assemblymember for Assembly District 33. Against Gentrification & Special Interests, for Term Limits, Immigrant Justice, and an Open and Accessible Assembly Office for all.
Hope you'll join us!
