I’ve never seen anything as weak as Hegseth’s need for constant affirmation. The American military (the Navy in particular) has more than a century of history of red-team testing of plans; wargaming; & criticizing itself. Hegseth on the other hand needs an unending attaboy or he crumbles like this.
