Two significant frontal clusters for the double-difference addressing interactions between tactile conditions (stroking vs. tapping) and visual information type are shown. A topographic map plots the average correlation coefficient for the cluster time-window with significant frontal sensors highlighted as white dots. Cluster 1, 1.356-1.428 s at three right frontal sensors; Cluster 2, 1.804-1.948 s at two right frontal sensors
Perception of affective stroking is influenced by observing yourself being touched - and these processes differ from non-affective tapping: visual modulation of pleasantness correlates with processing differences between stroking and tapping in frontal clusters.

Participant wearing VR glasses and a haptic sleeve trying the social-touch VR demo
#TactileInternet needs to consider human #perception and sensory integration. Thus Prof. Shu-Chen Li and I shared our research on (digitized) #multisensory-integration with doctoral candidates at the 2nd TOAST training school at TU Munich.
Candidates also tried our demo on #social-touch in VR ๐
