Yeah it’s hard cause there’s so many different types of travelers. We’re branching out to everyone who’s studying / moving abroad / moving to new cities which is a bit of a more competitive angle, but having an initial user base will help, we’ll see lol 🤞🏼

That’s true! I think starting out as a niche app for solo travelers really helped with the whole vibe & energy. young people that travel on a budget (our original market) are used to meeting new people & are less scared of it because of hostels & that culture

Hmmm maybe, I see some chats do really well and kinda take the lead for the whole area, making it not necessary to make new ones. I think with areas that have less users, people get discouraged because of the low engagement in the chats, maybe in those cases an app generated chat would help

Yes! When you enter into 20km you see nearby groups & users. They’re user generated. Currently there’s users everywhere but the most active and lively places are Paris, Barcelona, NYC, places in Thailand etc

Ah! I see, we track geo location for the nearby page, in order to find group chats nearby, and people nearby. Meetup has events, where as we have general group chats and social profiles to interact with either from the nearby page, future trip search, or posting to the feed!
