So sick of Neville commentating on United

Don’t think Havertz header in the second half is a goal you see scored 60% of the time
Issue with xG. One or two contested heads in six yard box really distorts things
It’s purely a narrative thing. If Chelsea were in that situation, no one would complain about the application of VAR. think both decisions were pretty cut and dry and cant argue with them
I don’t think anyone would argue against that but it’s just the snide nature of Scholes. What he said about Martinez too. Feels like they’ve been marginalised by the club and taken it personally
*13 point
For anyone interested who might have missed it – a visit to Castel di Sangro, 30 years since the "miracle" that sparked the legendary book by Joe McGinniss. There are conflicted reactions to it, even now. But this is a tale of how time both shapes and preserves. www.theguardian.com/football/202...
Do you think he can adapt to create dominant teams? He’s not averaged over 50% possession anywhere so far. Clearly a very good coach but will he match up to expectations a teams expected to dominate games?
Just unlucky. United not allowed to be unlucky
What do you suggest he does? 8 players out. The bench is full of children. Don’t really think there’s much else you can do in this situation
Perfect example of the rule of the underdog. If it happened to Real (or United) law wouldn’t have changed.
It was literally one cross. Very comfortable for the second half.
Some football chat in the hostage on Netflix. Few mins into the first episode. Classic commons banter let down with the reference to the PMs beloved ‘Oldham FC’. The frame picture in her office is a #classytouch
It all looks good but going into the season with 2 CBs, one of which who has 12 months left on his deal doesn’t seem smart. Also would need a wide man to replace Diaz no?
Yeah don’t think trying to prove a point you made years ago is really relevant given the charges and is actually pretty insensitive
‘I’m not your sister, you’re not my brother, there’s so much we can discover’
Been poor. Don’t think there’s been a real chancein 45 mins
Agree with this but really fear for Amorim if we don’t win. Clearly fucked off the league after Lyon and will be difficult to build momentum/team morale after such a shit season.
Fancy Bruno will push to leave too, not hanging around for another few season rebuild without CL wages
@zonal-marking.bsky.social disappointing deflection?
Thought the second half was the best performance in years. That atmosphere, worried we would have wilted if we gave them a sniff. Just controlled it, they didn’t have a shot from 40th min to 92nd
Very tired of people highlighting players ‘thriving’ after United. Maybe has something to do with having a lot less pressure and also not everyone watching and analysing your every action on the pitch. Lot of dross in the squad but wouldn’t take a single player we’ve sold in last 3 seasons back
Last season United played with 2 no 10s, why they were so open every game. When he played was the ‘box crasher’
Also, always very popular with United fans but only useful in the boxes. Happy he’s going well
He played there all last season and it wasn’t great. ‘Popping up’ with a goal now and then but offered nothing else
Cheapest hotel room around £800 per night at the moment. Nearly all flights from London full too
What happens when you play a keeper at CB
Has more fodder for ‘content’ now to bring an ex United player on the overlap and talk about the old days
Gary Neville negative about a United performance? Shocking!
At the game. Think Yoro had his best half in United shirt and Garnacho only real threat.
Don’t get time to bed in if your are a United player. Expectation is being a world better. People miss remember journeys of Scholes, Ronaldo etc
