A little magic explorer snail

It’s weird how some characters come back from those things and some don’t. Monica Rambeau has never been what she was in the 1980s after Simonson, Gruenwald, etc got done with the character.
I love the Gooby update! This explains where he’s been all this time. He doesn’t seem concerned that he’s been lost for a while. Will his magic free him?
I didn’t know this story existed until recently and was delighted to discover a Claremont/Davis collaboration that’d been unknown to me. Fun story.
I betcha if they delved into Cyke’s time in X-factor there would’ve been a lot of ZAPT! and SHHRAAAKKTT!! The Simonsons loved both of those.
It wasn’t on the cover of the original? Pretty sure it was on the cover of UXM 150 too
That cover made me pick up the comic when it first came out—even though I’d never heard of the Ray
I totally want to see this
Our favorite downtown restaurant!
They are! They’re kind of ridiculous bc they look nothing alike but the individual designs are so cool. HEAT Viper is another fave.
The Jim Aparo run on Detective Comics
I always thought this guy was cool! Also Alley and Night Vipers
Loved the concept but the artwork wasn’t my cup of tea and they killed off Wonder Man in the first issue, so I was immediately out. Crazy they did that to Simon a mere 2+ years after they deemed him popular enough to have a solo series! At the time I was like whuuuuut?? 😵💫
IIRC, the archenemy of Ravage!
Thank goodness we got the new X-men team. I don’t understand why they keep hyping the O5 X-men. Their title went into reprints and when the comic resumed new material, most of the original cast was shuffled off the stage SO fast
So true. I wish Marvel would stop trying to make him happen, we’re going on 60+ years of him not working (ditto for Iceman and Angel but that’s another discussion). Hank takes up space that way more interesting characters could be using.
I always thought the later version of Colossal Boy from the Legion of Superheroes where he was from a planet of giants and his power was actually to shrink to human size was clever.
I’ve always liked Scott Lang Ant-Man.
The first one, though this one is interesting too. I never forget the village elder who wills himself to pass away to make way for the newborn.
I liked Cardiac—he’s due for a comeback
Fun fact, this was an era where four superhero teams were led by women. Avengers, New Mutants, X-Men, Alpha Flight. There’s a lot of man-babies out there who’d have a stroke over that now. 😄 And I’m pretty sure Marvel has unfortunately never pulled that off since.
Peak Marvel Universe right there, to me. 😊
I was a kid when my mom brought home a copy of Splinters of the Minds Eye from a thrift store for me. It blew my mind that there were extra Star Wars tales other than the movies and comics! Same for the Han Solo Adventures
Share 4 things that made you the #StarWars fan you are today (besides the movies)!
Hear Shag's story tomorrow on the first episode of the MARVEL STAR WARS: FROM EMPIRE TO JEDI podcast!
Looking forward to this! I have the whole set and I love the post-ESB era to the very end. Loved the search for Han Solo, David Micheline and Jo Duffy did a great job writing Lando Calrissian who without Han around really got to shine.
I’ve been enjoying the internet freaking out over Guy’s haircut, none of them stopping to think that just maybe the haircut tells you something about his character, as it does in the comics (where btw they toned the haircut down years ago).
I rewatched a few episodes a couple years ago. Enjoyed it. Watch for how they struggle to fit people into the frame with the Hoff bc he’s SO tall. I also noticed how people don’t question why his car has an oscillating red light on the front 😄
Lack of follow through: the kryptonite of Spidey 😄
The movies also had us feeling bad for Rogues plight with her uncontrollable powers and completely ignored Scott’s whole deal, where the slightest mistake on his part could get someone killed. And his anguish at not being able to live a normal life. All that drama and pathos, left on the table.
My favorite too! Hailee Seinfeld is great as Kate Bishop, and the relationships she has with Clint and Yelena are so fun.
