A photo of people in costumes. Jonkonnu project - a take on Jamaican Masquerade traditions that also combine elements of English folk characters and customs. From left to right; Cow Head- a grey costume covering the whole body with a large cow head with horns. Pitchy Patchy- A multi coloured rag costume with a pointed head and covering right down to the feet. Horse Head- A skeleton horse head with red bandana/madras fabric covering the body. Jack-in-the-Green - a many shades of green rag costume with a pointy head, which covers down to the feet. A Devil costume with a smiling mask, covered in red symbols on black and holding a fork.

The figure is covered in a bubblegum pink liquid, which is dripping from the face and chin. There is a triangular shape on the chest, and a kind of crude halo round the head, also pink. I made this painting when working in an art fabrication studio, and this is a mould of a sculpture. The pink is silicone, and the odd shapes are 'walls' made of pieces of plastic.

The whole mask is a bit wider than a human head, and has been covered in shallow spikes to look like a fresh green unopened conker, from a horse chestnut tree. The eye holes have a mesh covering, the mouth is gaping, like a sideways figure of 8. The effect is silly, and creepy.

I'm also gonna be completely gutting the store sometime soon. Stripping it back to basics. It's too bloated. There'll be an 'old shit' section but a lot of the old prints will be removed completely fwiw.

I'm doing a small reprint of these Kill Death tees. Technically a second edition, if you wanna think of it like that.

This wasn't a big seller by any means, but was a piece of art I really enjoyed making. Happy there are some people out there who are my people and picked one up. Love you 🖤
