I’ve been buying really high quality thick sliced ham from the deli counter and fancy cheddar cheese from Murray’s and making Western (Denver) omelettes and they are so good and I am patting myself on the back for decisions well made.

I'll continue telling this story: In ER with a ferocious, mysterious headache after a series of them. Get 2 migraine cocktails & a CT scan. ER doc asks my pain number. Me: "6 but my 6 is someone else's 9." She gave me another migraine cocktail.
The existing "pain scale" is not helpful.
And when you do have to do this, there's a decent chance the nurse will punish you for it later 🙃

Chicken wings used to be fucking cheap which is why bars had 10 cent wings. But when we normalized relations with China they don't have an issue with bone-in chicken and they became more expensive, and then Americans stopped being afraid of bones in meat and we started eating them too.
Anyways i spent the entire year telling people that my doc told me to eat more cheese 😌💅🏽
So since protein consumption is ramped up I just wanted to share that I told my dietitian that I was eating fruit for a snack and she told me to pair it with CHEESE. And she gave me a list of snacks and beans and tortillas were on there!
