We are doing this. Our governments. Our taxes. Our arms sales.
This is our Holocaust. Our Cambodian killing fields. Our Balkans. Our Rwandan genocide.
We are doing this and history will never forgive us.

Just want to remind Californians that when your kid is in/about to be in 4th grade, there's a free state park pass for you and your family for a year. Great mission to see as many as you can. www.parks.ca.gov/AdventurePas...
Impossible to communicate to people that once you decide that a group more vulnerable than you can be sacrificed in the name of your own safety or interests that you have already entered into an tacit agreement that you can also be sacrificed in the interests of a group less vulnerable than you.
What many students don’t understand is humanities profs don’t assign writing to get the product. We are extending invitations to know yourself. If you conjure AI, it doesn’t impact us. You cheat only yourself. And knowing yourself today is the best defense you’ve got against fascism.
Summon @abrahampiper.bsky.social He’s got a good explanation and I think about it often
We don’t usually send notices to authors but I am happy to report your novel also made my book club’s group chat.
We haven’t even finished checking all the birds.
I’d put Soul Coughing’s “Circles” on repeat and see how long before anyone noticed.
Holy shit it’s exhausting trying to tell yourself any of this is real
I've never understood someone feeling like their sexuality was under threat because they felt attracted to someone until I realized I am somewhat attracted to Jack Harlow even though I consider myself to be a bisexual woman.
I learned a most interesting thing about chemistry this morning in a podcast and I’m going to be a great asset to the work holiday party tonight.
My MIL had a full knee replacement and rated her pain level 36 hours later at a 5.
5 is baseline.
I am currently at a 5 and my only justification is that I am 38 years old.
Went ice skating yesterday just to spend all of today being like "why are my legs sore"
My husband and I are living apart right now and it’s kind of hot
What we didn’t realized when we watched Charles Grodin in Clifford is that 95% of parenting is yelling at your child “act like a human boy for one minute here”
It’s tested on *your* animal
Yesterday’s work highlight was when I showed a ~$50k interactive as inspo during an internal brainstorm for a pro bono client. Always trying to get a gut check on whether we truly stand by no bad ideas in a brainstorm.
That’ll mean so much to her! Graphic novels have expanded her palette a lot. They’re also why she likes kimchi.
That makes sense! I went with onions + carrots + potatoes + served on a plate. So many great foods in that category!
Where is everyone finding starter packs? My Bluesky experience is all news and not enough novelists or tech folks.
Page of graphic novel Mooncakes
Hearty beef stew over mashed potatoes and noodles
Dinner was a big hit!
Relatedly, I bought dried apricots multiple times to attempt the dish that appears in A Gentleman In Moscow before we stopped eating pork. Apparently the desire to cook what you read is genetic for us.
Tomorrow for dinner we are having a stew based on a @wendyxu.bsky.social illustration in a graphic novel (Mooncakes) my 9yo is reading
That makes some sense. I don’t remember if you have children or not but the (human-strength) ivermectin lice treatment is so good and I’m mad I didn’t know about it sooner.
I asked for “romaine” at Chipotle, and the woman didn’t know what I meant, so now I feel like an asshole who knows multiple kinds of lettuce.
Of all the Black Friday deals in the world, the algorithm chose horse-strength ivermectin for you. Beautiful.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be in a Wikipedia rabbit hole because the Japanese detective novel I’m reading has no translator’s notes
Oh, I’m so sorry 🌻 they leave such a hole in our lives when they go.
