Probably not a “colossal failure”. They’re too young and too new to this to frame it that way. Disappointment? Absolutely? Failure? Probably. But nothing monumental.

Filling out applications for practice in my college and career readiness classes. It’s depressingly shocking how little personal information (phone number, address, etc) the students know. Sad.

Deep breathing and noise cancelling headphones (as needed) have been a game changer for me. Also realized I want music everywhere I go because it gives me something predictable and that is comforting to me. I’m glad we’re recognizing these things now vs not at all.
