6) Q: if the whole school does this, how many haikus? How likely is it that the haiku you read will EVER be chosen again by random?
7) Print them out, share with Parents.

Teach Mathematics? Teach English?
How about making a 'virtual' Haiku flip book. How many poems would it take to see a poem that is likely to have never been seen before and will never be seen again?

Thanks Dan - I forgot to add the sharing to that challenge. And will check that caching issue again as it seems to rear its head quite regularly.
User of Timbles can now choose from four daily challenges. Daily, Daily extreme, Daily factor hunt, Daily factor hunt extreme! @dan-fuzz.bsky.social
Mathematics teacher? Go check them out.
I thought you would! Thanks for the comments
Alright. Just one more then…
Something for my mathematics educator friends. No more viral ‘math’ videos!
Going back to Cockcroft - discussion is an essential pet of mathematics education. Great to see so much more of an emphasis. You can’t script a good discussion! But you can prepare and practice for them. It’s a skill so many have lost.
When you hit submit. Hmmm. Maybe I’ll make a change here. So that when the last number is entered, THAT counts as the submit. What do you think?
Superb
Gotta do more in here. Timbles.com just got better! Now it’s the the ONLY multiplication app that asks users to reflect on their practice and rewards them for doing so. On patterns, questions, justifications. Take a look at the blog. timbles.com/blog/multipl...
Thanks Dan, really useful info. Bouncy… what do you mean? As for mistakes - that’s ok IMO. Because you can always correct it and ‘next time’ it’ll be better - maybe a little annoying but for us, mistakes are not a bad thing and there to learn from.
@realclaudetaylor.bsky.social just wondering - as just created track90.co.uk - are you still doing the 90/180 day thing? Would love to know what you think. Especially the survival sentences. And I love Paris. Met my wife there. Loved Parc Monceaux on a sunny morning.
As @chronphilanthropy.bsky.social says this week, Endowments matter - good financial stewardship means nonprofits should make the most of their donations. Better Giving helps by reducing the cost to them right from the start. better.giving/blog/savings...
What's with all the awful 'Sway' stuff I am seeing? anyone got any good examples? Think I prefer Digitalbrain from 1999 !
🎓 Because kids graduate.
🧠 Minds grow.
💡 Mathematics can be fun without dressing it up in chocolate.

In Timbles, the mathematics itself is the game.
The thrill comes from solving puzzles, cracking the challenge, building mastery.
No disguises needed. Every day brings fresh challenges. Every practice becomes a learning opportunity, not an exercise in failure.
Quick to play, surprisingly addictive.
For younger kids, dressing up or singing songs may make maths less scary.
But as they get older? That can feel feel childish.
Learners are ready for a real challenge, one that - like counting sticks - respects their intelligence.
That’s where Timbles comes in.
Remembering multiplication facts doesn’t need dressing up like chocolate-covered broccoli. They can be fun in themselves. Well, that’s what I think and that’s one of the reasons I built Timbles.com
That’s what makes Timbles formative, not just summative.
It turns mistakes into memory-building moments.
Try it with your class - or for yourself: Use the groups feature to challenge your friends and colleagues.
Child-friendly not childish! (3/3)

Timbles is different.
When a learner gets an answer wrong, they MUST correct it themselves before continuing. And can take as many attempts as they wish.
No skipping. No giving up.
Every error becomes a chance to learn. (2/3)
Most times tables apps treat mistakes like failure. ❌
You get a cross, 'maybe' the right answer and move on.
That’s a summative test, not learning. (1/3)
