La situación global a veces me abruma, pero hoy encontré esperanza al unirme a un espacio comunitario con el CINVESTAV Mérida y las Chelemeras, mujeres que reforestan manglares. Me inspira ver comunidades apoyándose en causas tan nobles y ser parte de ello.

Many of us scientists in the Global South have been sciencing forever with limited resources, higher costs for infrastructure and reagents/consumables, high bureaucratic burden, no overheads, and still contributed to the generation of knowledge. We’ve developed adaptive strategies.

Today I was at a book talk for a biodiversity conservation book. I was thrilled to notice people nowadays are conscious that being in an conservation path means being really political and growing communities that positively support each other 💙.
