I've learned so much about this little camera from this one post! I knew about heat buildup from my dslr but hadn't really thought about it for smaller cameras. Stands to reason they'd be subject to the same thing!
It's definitely been exposed to 121F and run for hours that way (Texas was miserable) so it takes a lot of heat well, but I never considered that a factor when it's cold like space is!
What a great way to make use of the remnants! There's always a certain kind of satisfaction from turning leftovers into something beautiful 🤍
A lot of the bills aren't quite as forgiving, so the grind must continue despite everything
Consistency is a curse :'3 especially when you have left and right, but it helps to remind yourself that not even nature is perfectly symmetrical (there's always subtle differences) and I'm not trying to exceed nature, just match it. As long as they're consistent with each other, they look natural.
And I need to thank our current clients for all their patience and support, and for giving me something mentally challenging to do with my hands to keep my mind from dwelling on other things and eating itself alive :'3

Also have the fullsuit style wolf pawpads sculpted and ready for texture. Trying to get it done this week still for a major milestone.
I yearn for fur prep (& updating the website & redoing the patterns). It's scheduled for after the moldsets are done, but taxes are next week again so wish me luck.
Quick update:
Struggling with mental health this week because *gestures broadly at everything* so progress has been slower.
Halfway through resurrection of the claw moldset. Might finish it today or tomorrow.
Still working on wrapping up the 5 sets of paws between molding steps and in the car.
I was going to look into this, thank you! For like 5 minutes in the vacuum chamber it might be worth a test off the shelf knowing it will still function under vacuum, and I imagine it won't be quite as much stress as the actual vacuum of space under the 25"Hg I can actually pull with my pump.
Thank you so much, I'm so flattered! It's certainly not easy, every set of paws still takes 40-60hrs of fiddly handsewing (and crying and swearing) even for me

Note to self: the kind of camera I used for my tutorial videos was just used in space by NASA for one of the coolest shots in human history, and I just learned that I can put it in the vacuum chamber and it'll be just fine!
Actually want to upgrade my equipment myself (still on my 6D) so we might be able to talk about this!

A set of copper/bronze color shift pawpads in the mold
Quick update: hurt my thumb doing claw prep and giving it a break by switching motions to sewing pawpads. I can now say that I have tested both the new wolf and maned wolf castings and they fit in the patterns! So everything is in line for the shop relaunch once claws are done <3
I just want everyone to have good paws 🐾
I hope you like the fox pattern! It's a little bit differently assembled and some folks swear it's easier than the Legacy one (it's harder for me lol) so I'm eager to see what you think of it!
