Back in July, I attended a #GNSI conference in Boston and fell in love with Toronto, the black drum at the New England Aquarium. He looks like such an old man, especially with the whiskers. Colors are off since I was doing the sketch by the exhibit light. #Pogoniascromis #fish #watercolor #sketch

I don’t find them scary, they just have a very normal salamander face. But depending on the angle you look at them, they look either look like the cute version or the more normal salamander version.

Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

Two medieval creatures on a shrinking plastic medium, they are about 3” wide shown on a cardboard background. The one on the left is mainly red, stands on two legs and has long ears, a long snout, and a short pointed tail. It wears a squire’s robe that is blue and teal and holds a red shield with a 7 pointed star shape. The creature on the right stands on 4 legs, with a green toucan like beak, has beagle-like ears, has a long vine for a tail and its body is striped with black. It is heavily patterned, mostly in orange and red, with thin white lines and a strip of blue with white dots along its back.
