Well, there goes the neighbourhood. Let’s see what a fool he makes of himself in parliament.

Son is working at the Lakemba night markets setting up the stalls etc. He was talking to woman on a stall who said it was very quiet this year and some commercial media are turning up asking people about their views on terrorism.
Where's the outcry about the effects of Islamophobia?
women's AGENDA Enough talk: 8 women killed in 2026 and still no urgency 66 Today, Federal and States Ministers will attend the quarterly Women's Safety Ministers Council meeting. They have an opportunity to make that proposition a reality. Sadly, I am not expecting this will happen. LARISSA WATERS LEADER OF THE GREENS Authorised by J. McColl, Australian Greens, Canberra ACT 2600.
women's AGENDA 66 Four years into the National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children, the frontline is fraying. Specialist services are at capacity. Police responses are inconsistent at best, cavalier at worst. Too little is being done to tackle basic things that exacerbate violence: lack of housing, economic insecurity, alcohol and gambling. women's AGENDA Minister Farrell [..] asked incredulously: "Are you saying we should fund every person who goes into one of these [community legal] centres? Is that your proposition?" Yes, Minister. In a wealthy country that says it is committed to ending violence against women, that is exactly my proposition. - LARISSA WATERS LEADER OF THE GREENS Authorised by J. McColl, Australian Greens, Canberra ACT 2600.
"Ministers, my letter is on your desk and my proposition is simple.
Don’t just talk.
Commit the funding and show political will to do what it takes to end violence against women."

In Australia, we have had our first gun massacre since 1996. After that, the govt bought back the guns. I expect we will see a tightening of gun ownership again as some horrible fringe conservatives have been trying to water them down and taking advice from NRA. We will fight for harder laws.
Today, in Sydney, we had our first gun massacre since 1996. We are already calling for gun laws to be tighter. We have had conservative politicians asking NRA for help to get ours watered down - this will now be right off the table. My heart is breaking for those people.
Or just vote.
Dear America, we have a strong anti gun sentiment in Australia. Those that had them gave them in after our first massacre. We continue to fight against those that want to water them down. We do fire drills as that is our greatest threat.
We hurt for you when this happens. It is the guns.
While Pauline Hanson does obnoxious stunts, the Coalition is about to dredge up a migration 'policy' that will dog-whistle up the same racist undercurrents.
And rather than naming it for the socially divisive sludge it is, most mainstream media will pretend it's one 'side' of a 'debate'. #auspol
Single frame. Street scene. Two Aussie white males departing the scene on the left. Young female passer-by on right. Centre, woman in burka crying, with young child cuddling her. Another woman in casual clothes attending to her, says, “Are you OK?” Woman in burka says “They called me Pauline!”
Insult to injury.
My @smh cartoon.

We have people camping in the bush alongside the creek in our inner city Melbourne neighbourhood. I went under the bridge just before a big campsite to find the man pissing. What are you doing in my bathroom he asked. We laughed and laughed and had a lovely chat.
Yep. I don’t think any of us know either.

Too much information about toileting last night….. 🤢
Nationals MP Kevin Hogan insists we can trust staunch anti Net Zero advocate & climate denier Matt Canavan to lead an evidence-based & independent review into whether Australia should stay committed to Net Zero by 2050. How stupid does he think we all are?🙄🤦♂️ #Abc
Nobody will visit America, not only because it’s govt are loons but because everyone will be sick with diseases the rest of us wiped out or control.
What craziness is this?!?
The beautiful Robert Redford.
I loved him even as a young girl growing up peaking over through the seats when I was supposed to be asleep in the back seat of the car at the local drive in cinema!
And if this is death, he can take my hand when it’s time. 😍
Something to remember for you all as social media is swamped by people angry over a man they've never met - especially in Australia where that American white guy's killing is being fed out and manipulated by Advance and the Atlas group.
You're being played.
All of it is scripted agit-prop trash.
Women are always stronger than men. This one can fight just wearing a leaf and me. Usually need a full body armour. 🤣
I am not convinced it will deliver value. Merging companies always requires compromise. The question is, who compromises?
So much movement for the enterprise end of HR tech. So what will happen to the smaller players?
America will never make sense to me.
We need to stand up to these people, not march with them around Australia.
A big part of why white centrist journos can call this a tragedy with a straight face is because to them it is; Kirk etc pose no viable harm to them, their interests, their fetishisation of 'robust debate' and both sidesery - this violence thus feels realer than the violence Kirk's views embodied
Memo to public officials: if you didn’t make a statement condemning the murder of Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, then I have no interest in anything you have to say about the murder of Charlie Kirk.
I so enjoy the English humour. It’s always spot on.
